    You could always beg.

Or actually offer me something valuable. I'd gladly give you $50 for something I would find valuable.

Lol, I have something valuable. I can do great graphic design and video promos, although I think 1Hour may not be long enough!

You have less than an hour. That's not much time.

Anything you try to sell here in the main forum would likely get your post nuked. If you tried to sell elsewhere (like on CraigsList), you'd just have to be plain lucky to find a buyer and get the cash into your account in less than an hour.

If you have a mailing list, and if you have something to sell (products or services), you could send out an email with a "no brainer" offer to get the cash fast.

Fastest way (only takes a couple minutes) -- call up a friend or family member, borrow the $50, and then figure out a way to put that money back in their account tomorrow plus a little extra for their troubles. (Much easier to make $60 by tomorrow as opposed to trying to make $50 in less than an hour... and less stressful, too.)

    cheers,
    Becky

Haha, only problem with family members is that no one uses Paypal, so that's a bummer.

Set up a pay button for $50 -- they can pay with their credit card even if they don't have Paypal. (Or maybe set it up for a bit more, due to fees.)

Oh cool, I've never thought of that. The only thing is, I'd rather "work" for the money than to just mooch.

I'm actually waiting on my dang paycheck, it comes via PayPal, but I think my boss might be snoozing. Got a quick bill to pay though, so that doesn't work out too well for me...

That's why I suggested putting $60 back into their account tomorrow rather than $50 -- it's not so much mooching if you're giving them a nice return on their short term loan. (In fact, they'll ask you every week if you need to borrow money... lol)

      cheers,

Haha. How would I give them back $60 though if they don't have paypal?

There's no requirement that you give it all back via Paypal. You can either send a check or cash for the whole amount (e.g., $60), or refund their original amount and then send them cash or check for the extra bit you give them for their troubles.

(ETA: I can't believe I had to explain that.)

Haha, my heads not on clear. I've got a deadline to meet, that's my only thought at the moment. And so far, no luck.

I thought I had a few writing prospects, but that's not looking so smooth right now either.

Bid on a gig on elance or one of the other bidding sites for several jobs that are at least $100 gigs and list your terms with an up front deposit requirement of 50% before you'll start work. I'd only spend 15 minutes doing this though because you may not get replies immediately. In your other 45 minutes you could offer a discount deal to existing clients if they order now and offer an up front payment discount. I've seen people asking for paypal loans on forums they're established on which offer a quick turnaround for repayment with interest as well.

    Good luck!

Play a game with your friends by emailing all of them, call it "Lottery Fun"

Ask them to pay you $50 for a chance to win $200. Or $25 to win $100. The winner will be announced to everyone and then all of you will go for a party that night, sponsored by the winner.

If done well, your Paypal account will be flooded with money and you really do what you said, by giving away the prize money.

If you email 50 friends, and 10 person send you $50, that's $500. Send one person $200, you are still left with $300 profit.

Non-threatening, fun, and almost everyone loves to gamble.

Hmm... Yes, but the chances are NO ONE will reply, and would not pay you a chunk of cash to have the slim chance to win 4 times that amount. Also, If he had less than an hour to make the $50 then it would be unlikely that his friends etc would check their email within this time limit.

I like your idea, but it's seriously flawed.... lol.

What if only 1 friend responds? Then you'll be out of pocket by another $150. Of course I'm sure Joseph has so many friends that this is not an issue

Without wanting to sound harsh, it seems to me that you wasted your hour on here, waiting for someone to hand the answer to you on a plate.

If you're desoerate for the money, you could have offered your writing services for a huge discount in return for money up front. That might have raised the money quickly and you would have to work for it too.

It's something I like to call multi-tasking. I'm doing just that now, trying to arrange some deals, and so far nada.

I'm contacting all of my resources, but it seems like everyone is unavailable at the moment.

Well, I think my hour was well spent (or however much over). I got a new client who's an old friend, plus the money I needed and some extra from other gigs. I've been posting my ass off, and networking with people from everywhere I could find, and it paid off.

    Where there's a will, there's a way, and I found mine!

Got another update...a new client just contacted me for more work! I'm almost elated that I was in such a bind today. I'm making more money than I set out to make, and I'm happy about it!

So let me get this straight, you beg on the WF and clients come piling in? That sounds like it should be packaged into a WSO. Sheesh. I can't believe I didn't skip over this post.

Nope, I didn't beg anyone here. I asked for ideas. I got new clients elsewhere, not a single one from the Warrior Forum.

I guess I just needed a boost from other people telling me that it could be done.

  • I am very tempted to offer you $50 if you promise me to never, never, ever again post such a pointless question.

Although the question was rather pointless the answers were exceptional. A very creative group in here I can see
