IM newbie took the plunge, taking action... but seriously need motivation!!

Hi guys...

I am newcomer to internet marketing. I would dearly appreciate some words from you.

I have gotten the info overload but overcame it, since I am semi-techie and very internet savvy.

After being conned, prayed on my desperation (NOT going to that route here guys) - I was lucky to land on Google Sniper 2.0 - some people here seem to love it, others not so much, but at least its legit !

My morale went up, went through the entire course 3x, I could almost smell the money !! :p WOOOOOO-HOOO !!

But then SEO micro niche keyword finding broke me. 3 days straight, couldn't find one single keyword that fit the bill. But I AM GOING TO MAKE IT in this business, so I took action anyway, in a niche that is above criteria a very competitive, so I could just DO IT and learn the process, get hosting account, rinse, refine and repeat. I am not expecting to make anything, but I went through with it anyways instead of sulking in front of Google Keyword Tool.

Guys, I really do need some words of motivation and advice. I am not going to play the lost puppy card, but I really need to make around 600 bucks/month so my life doesnt implode on me. If I can manage that, I am sure I can build good figures in the future, dedicating alot of time and effort.

I don not believe in easy money! Unless you win the lottery.

But for the life in me I cannot find a micro-niche I can snipe

Its going to take loads of time to learn the ins-and-outs of other methods like CPA, PPC, which cost lots more to setup too.... oh dear, waht to do ??

I've said this before to another member on this forum. If it takes you more than 3 days to find a profitable keyword with a EMD then you're wasting your time. You can buy good keywords and EMD data for $10 a go, depending of course of the minimum CPC you're after.

But like any business, be that selling ebooks, affiliate offers and PPC, or building a micro niche empire, you need to create a plan! Failure in creating a plan, results in planning to fail.

Either treat it like a real business, and over time you might just have something that resembles one.

Hey georgedinmore, yes, I would be extremely thankful for any sort of help! Thank you, I'll be looking out for your PM !

Moonzink, well... its the first time ever that I'm trying this out. Following GS2's criteria, I have yet to find a keyword that has less than 13,000 competitors and that is relevant to the affiliate program. I also understand this in not written law, but based on all the wealth of info in this website, and judging by the top 10 results, the best I could find was 400k in competition with quote marks around my long tailed keyword.

I am certainly not trying to cut corners here, I do understand this takes time. But I am investing alot of time here, and will gladly invest more. I'd just like to get something right before all goes wrong.

Nathan 2525 and derekmichael02 - You certainly are not demoralizing me I sincerely appreciate your words.

I do believe in hard work

Plan - Do - Review these are probably the three most important words in business.
Not everything that you try will be a success but do not give up.
It sounds like you have a good work ethic and that is very important in this business.
It takes time to build credibility and that is what you need to be successful.
This is why all of these "I Want To Get Rich Quick" people have crashed and burned and then shout about Internet marketing not working.

        Regards

        Kim

Ok, i'm also new to g sniper, but i have found quiet alot of keywords, advise to you: break the rules.... either go up with more backlinking hardwork(not the best strategy), or settle for lower than 2000 searches competition keywords (it's a good way to keep your moral high). go very very dark and underground when looking for keywords, something like "best ever exercise to reduce cellulite on your legs". i see your post was a few months ago, let me know if you've had any succes.

You're probably not going to like what I have to say but
I think it will benefit you massively so I'm going to say it
    anyway....

Guess what?.....Before you even started IM you were
'In Business'. If you have money coming in and money
    going out, your in business.

If you can't get that business working how the hell
are you going to run an IM business?!!!

Do yourself a favor and take off the pressure of having
to do it in a month.

Lower your expenses so that you have money you can
invest on a monthly basis. Once you have 'Cashflow'
and no pressure, begin to build your IM business.

This is not a 'Get Rich Quick Scheme' it's a business
like any other and it's going to take time and investing
    in yourself.

"I really need to make around 600 bucks/month so
my life doesnt implode on me"

This is not how you start a business.

The pressure will suck your dry.

Listen to Nathan above - figure out how to live on what you got before you go after more.

If you don't do that, it will eat at you every second... I know because that's how I started, and I RECOMMEND IT TO NO ONE.

    gurruwiwi!

You definitely need to find balance in your life.

I went through Google Sniper 2.0 and even made a few sales as an affiliate. It's a great course, George Brown keeps it real and really makes sure to guide you step by step.

I can agree finding niches isn't the easiest thing to do. But see that's thinking too small. If you want big results, think HUGE!

Have to shoot for the stars so you land on the moon you know?

The way he puts it you want your keyword to have less than 30,000 competing pages. But dude, you can rank for keywords with over 250,000 competing pages. It's actually really easy. George's strategy is based on not building a single backlink. To me that's really lazy, because if you can't spin an article and then pay someone on fiverr $5 to outsource some links for you...then damn...figure it out.

In all brightness though finding niches are very easy to do. I mean go on YouTube and just search the top trending videos and grab ideas from that. Go to your local book store and just look in the magazine section. Go on Amazon and click on the books, and on the digital eBooks look inside the table of contents and grab micro niches within a niche! Know what I mean?

For example I'm taking a trip right now back up to Northern California, and on the bus I'm on there's WiFi. So here look..I'm going to go on the Keyword tool and find a niche in about 5 minutes..brb..

ok so I got the idea that I was on a charter bus, and the chairs recline. So I searched reclining chairs.

    Leather Recliner Chairs
gets searched 2,900 times per month exact
competing pages in google in quotes is 265,000..which takes a little bit of work to rank for but it's actually really easy. The CPC is $1.70

so go ahead and buy a domain leatherreclinerchairsinfo.com (just checked, it's available)

You always want your keyword in your domain, gives you more authority.

Then just make it blog format or however you want. Follow Google Sniper as far as optimizing it goes and then rank it up with outsourcing some links for super cheap.

You could throw up adsense, make money that way. Then become an affiliate for Amazon and sell these chairs online yo.

And these chairs are ranging from like $350-$1,000 so you'll be sure to make some solid commissions. I think amazon gives you up to 14% commission I think? So say you sell on average a chair for $400 you'll make $56 per chair.

At 2,900 searches per month, when ranking #1 in Google you'll soak up 40% of the traffic. So you'll get 1,160 highly targeted visitors to your website. So I'm sure you'll convert say 2% of those people.

2% of 1,160 is roughly 23 chairs sold per month. And if you're making $56 per chair (on average). Then you can easily make just over $1,200 per month. Not to mention adsense. Another $200 in your pocket. There's no reason why that website can't make you about $1,500 per month.

Then you can build a list, market them other products down the road pertaining to reclining leather chairs.

And look at that...it took me 5 minutes to find that niche.

Basically man you can't be lazy. Google Sniper 2.0 and George' strategy definitely work. But you have to get out of the easy niche websites mindset, and know that work is going to have to be put in to make it happen.

    Hope this helps yo!

    cheers!

  • I know how hard to find the keywords, ya, it's kind a crazy sometimes. But still, for me, everything is back on the white paper, states out everything very detail from the big until to small one. Then follow the plan and execute it ......

I guess there is available tools for you to find a non-competitive keywords and you can unlock it just like piece of cake. Perhaps ? Try it ....

Okay you are definitely working too hard at things. This is a business and business requires investment. That doesn't mean throw money at it. Peter Lynch (Former Fidelity Magellan Manager) said when investing, pick a company that you can sum up what they do in one sentence. Do the same with your keyword research. Make sure your looking at a niche you can sum up quickly and the keywords will seem to tumble from the sky. If you Are looking at a niche that has to do with a field you are working in or worked in, you will know the lingo and you can come up with keywords quickly and start selling products based on that. If you no nothing about brain surgery DON'T LOOK UP KEYWORDS IN THAT NICHE!!! More importantly work hard at enjoying this business, not stressing over it. Good Luck!

Climb too high and fall too fast.

Your morale went up because you saw the money. At least in your mind. And when the money did not show up like you thought it would, you needed motivation to keep going. If your morale and motivation rises and falls on how strong the smell of money is, you will be in for one hellacious ride.

Find a problem people have and solve the problem. Enjoy doing that. It's one of the best motivators I know.
