Hi...I have a question about my new C class 10 IP pack...

I would like to know how safe my new hosting IP package is in terms of Google footprint.

I mean If I have 10 sites each with a separate IP....Can I link them all together without being penalized?

Wont google be able to track that the sites all belong to me by my ADSENSE ID anyway?
What about my google analytics ID, all my sites are listed there too...surely google can see that all the sites are mine even tho they have separate IPs? It wont take long for google to link all the Ip's to my adsense or analytics account...

What about using automatic robots to get backlinks...how does google track those? Wouldn't google just see that those backlinks are pointing to my site and then realize that site has adsense belonging to me or google analytics account belonging to me and then notice other sites I own using the same backlink tactics?

so the separate Ip wouldn't mean anything?

Surely I dont need a separate adsense account for each website IP and a separate analytics account for each website IP...that is getting ridiculous...

so I am thinking...

what exactly is the benefit of having separate IPs anyway?

I don't think you need separate IP addresses. I mean think about all the websites hosted at Go Daddy, probably millions of them, and they link to each other all the time with no penalty.

It sounds like you are wanting to link a bunch of your websites to each other in some sort of 'backlinking' scheme.

That sort of thing always reminds me of a Rube Goldberg kind of thing.

If you simply build sites that are of benefit to their visitors with appropriate relevant backlinks, you WILL rank well.

You got the point. But why not going further...gmail, webmaster account and other tools from google. Linking websites is not a bad think if you provide high quality content.

Wouldn't google just see that those backlinks are pointing to my site and then realize that site has adsense belonging to me or google analytics account belonging to me and then notice other sites I own using the same backlink tactics?

    Thanks for your opinions...

Can I get some views on the following Google patent regarding separate IP's? What does this mean to you?

    -Google's Patent:

Re-ranking component 122 begins by identifying the documents in the initial set that have a hyperlink to document x. (Act 301). The set of documents that have such hyperlinks are denoted as B(y). Documents from the same host as document x tend to be similar to document x but often do not provide significant new information to the user. Accordingly, re-ranking component 124 removes documents from B(y) that have the same host as document x. (Act 302). More specifically, let IP3(x) denote the first three octets of the IP (Internet Protocol) address of document x (i.e., the IP subnet). If IP3(x)=IP3(y), document y is removed from B(y).

On occasion, multiple different hosts may be similar enough to one another to be considered the same host for purposes of Acts 301 and 302. For example, one host may be a "mirror" site for a different primary host and thus contain the same documents as the primary host. Additionally, a host site may be affiliated with another site, and thus contain the same or nearly the same documents. Similar or affiliated hosts may be determined through a manual search or by an automated web search that compares the contents at different hosts. Documents from such similar or affiliated hosts may be removed by re-ranking component 124 from B(y) in Act 302.
