10 000$ per month, 5 months old site: real case study

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was looking at sold websites on flippa and I found this one that sold 50 000$. Here's the address: iPhone 5 Specs and News

It's a Iphone 5 niche website and when you look at the WHOIS, the address was bought in may 2011. The seller tells it made nearly 10 000$ in septembre, that is unbelievable.

I've looked at linkdomain with yahoo, and it got over 4000 inlinks... what's weird, is that I looked into all those inlink website and they all look the same, they are wordpress website with articles only with and anchor text link to iPhone 5 Specs and News.

But how did the owner manage to produce that kind of inlink with LOTS of different website from different IPs??

Here is my investigation now... I'm sure that will interest some of you.

    I look for its backlinks and one of links is comming from sainteapollinedepatton . com .

    On the main page It has "an article" about, fat loss, strollers, parties, scams, calculators, electronic cigarette, Car Service Connecticut, modeling agency and etc, etc etc.

    Very interesting... And "no doubt google is very smart".

      Yeah! Look at the other backlinks, they are all wordpress blogs just like this one!

        ...and Iphone is trademarked by Apple so if someone buys this for $50k, Apple have the right to take the domain off them.

        It's one thing building a site up on a trademarked domain and quite another paying $50k for it - Unless of course they've contacted Apple who have said in writing it's fine to do.
