I'm trying to find out which ads will convert for a wordpress blog.

The blog will list whats on sale at us stores & the ads will be cpa
E-mail/Zip offers like best buy-groupon etc.

How do I find out which ads are converting before I start posting them
on my blog.

    You don't.

Just start running them and use PPC to get conversion stats.

Split test a few ads and analyze the data gathered. Then, do it again and again until you find an ad that performs the way you want it to perform.

It's all BS until you test.

You test and track whatever changes you make. You can also run multiple campaigns and split test which one is most effective. I suggest you get WP Stats plugin and Google Analytics which you can get thru google. This is the best way to track things with Wordpress.

Your conversion rates will vary greatly depending on the keywords people are organically finding your blog through.

Just split test different ads and record the conversion rates and profit margins. From there it will become clear as to which is the best option.

I'll post the ads & use Google Analytics & WP Stats to see which ones are converting the best & go with the best converting offers.

  • Keep in mind that in order to get statistically meaningful results you'll need a goodly amount of traffic to your blog.
