GP or Specialist... Which One Are You?

One of the most valuable lesson I have gained from the forum is watch what the more successful members do for a living.

Whilst I don't necessarily buy their products, I am an unabashed raving fan of their success and business models.

So there's my first tip. Follow and watch what they do and see if you can apply it to your business.

One of the common threads I see in pretty much all of their models is that they are specialists in what they do. I guess it is no coincidence that they are successful in various degrees.

Back in my real estate days, we created what we called area specialists. What this means is that each sales person was assigned a geographic area in which to work with. Their task was to learn and understand every detail of the market in their area. It was a huge success.

The same applies on line.

Instead of jumping around looking for opportunities, maybe it's time to graduate yourself from GP to Specialist.

So who gets paid more? A GP or a Specialist? It's a no brainer.

Being a specialist does not have to be complicated. It's about directing your focus to one section of the market... even if you are not an authority. You can still be a specialist and reap the rewards.

Some ways to do this...

Create content / products related to a specific audience.

Create software as above.

If you're into adsense, then keep learning, testing, improving.

If you're into affiliate sales, become a traffic expert.

I'd be interested in your ideas. Are you a GP or Specialist?

Best of success,

Sal
