If you're uncertain about the integrity of anyone
offering a service then either don't buy it or ask
the seller if they'd be willing to work through a
    freelance site such as RentACoder.

You can set up a project on RentAcoder who have
an integrated escrow service. The seller then bids
on your project and you pay the cash. When the job
is satisfactorily completed you then release the cash.

The seller will be required to pay a 15% commission
to RAC. I'd suggest you pay that for the added
security offered by using the RAC service.

If a seller is unwilling to work through RAC then that's
    their choice.

The RAC idea is a good choice, I didn't even think about that. Some of those bidding sites do seem to charge a hefty commission fee though. A year or so ago when I tried to get some jobs through them I noticed that many of them are not very user-friendly as well. Regardless though, paying the commission is a good idea for that added security.

Does WF allow giving out a review copy to a reputable warrior when initiating a WSO?

For products? Absolutely not...way to much time commitment involved. I'd rather just have someone pass if they didn't trust me rather than spend my time jumping through hoops for a couple sales.

For services? Great idea! As this is a potential long term relationship I wouldn't mind spending a little extra time on this as a buyer or seller.

I would definitely use escrow for high-priced WSOs if the seller would agree to it. I think using RAC is a decent idea, but the fees might be a pain in the ass. Escrow.com might be another option worth investigating.

in service based wso's it would stop the problems cold!

especially since the WF mods aren't in the business of monkey in the middle...

this idea was brought up a couple years ago.

I still think its a great idea. I even offered to help finance it to make it happen.

The idea was to have an "arbitration" method available in case of dispute.

I think i still have the script set up and everything.

There have to be enough interested though to help get it started.. you know most on the forum will give all the reasons why it shuoldnt happen until they see it up and working, then it will be commonly used.

If you find someone to head it up, i am still willing to put in my resources.
