Amazon Affiliate - What Happens If You Bought Item With Cookie Enabled?

So I was checking what orders people placed today through my amazon affiliate link, and I noticed that one of the orders was a purchase I made yesterday via amazon.

At that time, I had no idea it was tracking me when I placed the order.

Does anyone know what happens now?

Will amazon simply discredit it (which of course is perfectly fine, that was not my intention).

Or will I get penalized?

Anybody experience this before?

Thanks,
Ryan

I did that once without thinking and they just knocked it off my sales, nothing else happened.

I think they're good at detecting that. You just get no commission on the item(s).

If it was me, I would write them and tell them what happened. You never know, they might have a bug up their butt when they find it so better safe than sorry in my opinion.
