SO CONFUSED? Why Aren't People Signing up? But ARE visiting my registration page?

I, this week alone (from Monday) have had just under 50 uniques on my register page... But NO ONE, I mean... NO ONE is signing up and paying for membership. I'm getting the odd one here and there. I just don't understand it.

I know the registration page works.

And I don't use any lucrative ways to click through to the registration page. It is clear that membership is £47 before people visit it, so everyone should know how much it costs before they click through so that can't be the reason.

I'm literally converting 0.5% of the people who view the registration page. That would be like 200 people getting to the tills in the shops and then only 1 actually paying and the remaining 199 turning a way and changing their minds.

What is going wrong?

Here's the site: Betfair Methods - Betfair Money Making Methods and Info

Thanks for ANY help offered.

There are a lot of things going on on your page. If you want people to simply sign up, then you could try just making a page that did that. It might be worth a try to see if it converts better.

It could be possible that the information that you are giving them isn't quite "enough" to get them to Opt-in to your memberships.

To be honest your ecover does not look the best, mostly the writing.

The site looks good but mabee a little busy. I would work on those 2 things first and possibly introduce a "Fast Action" bonus. You need to create a sense of urgency

My question is why are they visiting the sign up page and then just not signing up. They clearly are considering signing up.

    YOU'RE confused??

Your poor visitors are face with multiple options and information.

They don't know where to click first.

What do you ACTUALLY want them to do when they get there?

That's what we call the MDA (Most desired Action)

If you want them to sign up for a free trial/sample/whatever...then that is what you should direct them to do.

If you give people too many options they will opt to do none of them.
That is not just my opinion BTW it has been tested by some very smart people.

Figure out what you most like them to do....focus on that ONLY and you'll start to see much better results.

No you don't understand. It's not the optin I'm worried about, it is the signing up for membership.

People ARE getting to the sign up page... That's not the issue, so the busyness of the site is how it should be, it's just why people are getting to the sign up page and then not actually signing up.

I didn't understand what you were offering until I was leaving and your pop up told me. Use your pop up as your header. It communicates well and I understood what you're offering. Just my 2.5 cents.

^^^ Good advice either make the pop up - pop up sooner - or get rid of it all together...

I would spend some time producing a GREAT video proving to me it works. to include: I would like to get to know something about you and how this system was developed and how it works. How about some testimonials for users? 3-5 minutes and I think you might have something.

So are you talking about building my list or getting people to sign up because the pop up is about the optin.

What exactly are you offering so the people can sign up for your membership?

Maybe it just a matter of perceived value.

Have you tested offer and price to look for the best converting combination?

      I rather convert 3% @ $27 ( $81.00) than 1% @ $47

Test price points and the actual offer. You may increase overall convertions

Basically, some content is for free and some is for 'members' only. If you view a 'members only' page, then there is a bit of text saying, you don't have permission to view this, sign up here etc etc etc. There's also a link to the register page in the nav bar.

iS THIS THE SIGN UP PAGE?

    Register - Betfair Methods

If so then it needs a re-design. You'll have to write some great copy or videos or testimonials or well SOMETHING. You'll really need to SELL it to them on this page.

Aha. You're so right and it's only just hit me. I see exactly what you're saying! Sorry if that came out sarcastically, but I never really treated the signup page as a sales page.

    Helisell... THANK YOU!

I got roasted by my first mentor for making the same mistake (many years ago now)
Make your sign up page the BEST and MOST informative page on your site and you'll start to see things REALLY happen.

    Good luck

It's clear where I am getting all my clickthroughs from. Basically, I'm get 0 clicks from the homepage to register. But on the pages where it says "Register Now" Beneath it, it says £47

I agree that you need to figure out exactly what you want your visitor to do, and that your page is way too busy. When you get to your page there are soo many options. If you want to people to sign up for $47 then focus on that.

When I got to your site I was LOOKING for the sign up page, and found it only after looking at a few FREE information about gambling, when i saw the "Register" link it lead me to a sign up form with NO information about what I'm signing up for other than unrestricted access, you need more of What you get when you sign up.

And a radio button that is already checked for $47 with minimal eye attraction is easy to skip past without really seeing it. And this is the only place I saw anything at all about $47.

Plus where are your visitors coming from because it says GBsomething as currency and not a $ dollar sign, if your getting most of your traffic from one country make the currency in that country not your own.

    To your success,

    Rich

    1-Use a pop-up but sooner.

2- Move the sign up box to the right.

3- You need a call to action on the top middle of your page.

    Test Test and Test.

Most is UK traffic so GBP£ is correct for the site. But I like the points you've made. Thanks a lot. Lots to take on board here... I really do appreciate it!

I'd say it was because you have a register tab, but no where on the front page does it say anything about there being a paid version of the site. so people go to the register page, thinking it's a free registration, then GET to the registration page and see VERY LITTLE about what they would get for their cash. Just a little blurb about getting all the content is not enough, I understand completely why they are leaving.

Before people click register tab, they need to WANT to pay money. Not think it's free then find out it's cash for some amorphous benefit.

Take the advice of a lot of the posters above. There's great tips there.

I will be. I've already got the pen and paper out and noting down all the changes I think I need to make and you've made another. Going to try and get something more obvious on the home page.
