Hi there,

Do you create your own squeeze pages or have someone design it for you or use your own software?

Curious because creating my squeeze page is really frustrating this newbie!

You can do either- if it's really frustrating you, you can outsource it fairly easily.

What is your main struggle with building them?

Are you using Wordpress, or are you using a HTML editor like Nvu?

Did you already sign up for your autoresponder and get the code?

I use WP, but am building the pages in Kompozer - yes have autoresponder set up -

I think my major frustration is not having done it before, and seeing many other squeeze pages - makes me a little intimidated b/c I have seen some really great pages!

This is what I do also - my squeeze pages are almost always in html.

But don't worry about having a "great" page - some of the "ugliest" pages are the highest converters for me...

If the product lends itself to a really powerful headline like "Secret Software Reveals Hidden Niches" then you don't need a lot of "pretty graphics" because the copy is strong enough to draw them in and in this case the graphics could "distract" them...

However, lets say the product is something like Askimet (a spam prevention plugin) - hard to make "spam deletion" very "sexy" so you would then need to rely on "pretty graphics" to add to the perceived value of the of the product...

        Hope this helps!

        Cheers,
        Coby

I'm probably biased, but I'd say the design is much less important than the copy you use and the incentive you're offering. A squeeze page can be ugly as sin and still convert
    (sometimes that even helps. )

It's also important that visitors see the opt-in without having to scroll down. And for some reason putting it on the right-hand side will give you measurably more opt-ins.

    Good luck,
    Jeremy

You know, you're right - maybe just trying something out and then test and see how it goes -

      Many thanks!

        Hi Christine,

I agree with your point on just putting one squeeze page out first as you can always edit it along the way if the conversion is not good.

    Hi Christine Brady,

    How are you?

Initially I create my own squeeze page whether technically or writing the copy. However, I outsource this portion so as to focus on the things that I am good at.

I know that it is frustrating to create your own squeeze page. However, I enjoy the process. But if you think of the time and money spent, I believe it would be better to outsource this portion, unless you are good at it.

However, before you can even dream of having hundreds or even thousands of subscribers...YOU would need a high converting squeeze page which will compel the visitors to enter their details to grab your offer.

    Simple equation:-

    Conversions = Money

If you can create a squeeze page that can converts well, then you should sell your service at this forum, but if not, you will be wasting valuable traffic, time and money in the long run. My suggestion is outsource it to a person who can write a converting squeeze page.

Anyway great to know you and let me know if you require any help.

    Cheers,
    Raymond

I like the use of profit themes a lot for building squeeze pages.

Hi, I've tried creating my own squeeze page. Yes its very frustrating because I am not really good in web. You can also outsource if you really can't do it. Once you have your squeeze page let everyone know here in WF so that they can review it.
