We are optimizing websites and our website getting average 7,000 visits on each month and more than 60% visitors are coming from search engine using our keywords. 20% visitors are coming from referring websites and 20% traffic is direct traffic. Our more than 100 keywords are showing in google 1st page but we are not receiving more enquiries from existing visitors. What are the required steps to generate more enquiries using search engine optimization or any other ways? Please share your knowledge and ideas.

The first thing you need to do is clear up what appears to be a fundamental misunderstanding.

SEO is one way to bring traffic to your site. Once a visitor clicks your link and arrives at your site, SEO has done its job.

Generating enquiries is the job of your landing page(s).

Without getting too specific, you have to understand what that visitor was trying to accomplish. Once you know that, you can sculpt your page copy to "join the conversation already taking place in their head."

Your page copy should lead to your offer and call to action. If you get it right, a decent percentage of your visitors will see making the enquiry as the next logical, natural step toward getting what they want.

What's a decent percentage? Beats me. Start where you are now and try to beat it. Keep testing new things and improving your results until you reach the point where further improvement costs more than it gains. At that point, move on to another area of your business.

Too many people get the notion that getting a #1 ranking is the same thing as getting the key to the vault. It can get you into the same building as the vault, but you still have to find the right combination and open the door...
