I have the resources, but where do I begin?

Hey people!
Together with my partner I have finally sat down to make a concrete strategy for our online passiv income. We have, for a year now been all over our market, but at the same time nowhere...

We are in the dating and personal development niche.

We have had a couple of successful launches here and there, but never really focused on an evergreen, passiv income business. It's a shame really, cause we know we have the resources to pull it off.

In our current situation we have a ongoing 4-month coachingprogram that pays our bills ++. We also arrange an annnual dating- and self development conference, with big success, and lots of opportunities. We have people that wants to help us, and we both study alot of marketing.

so..

Finally we have sat down to make a plan on how we are going to do this. But where do we start?

Finding a target marked?

What kind of questions should we ask our selfs here now?

What is the next step?

Thanks in advance. I really appriciate any comments on this. If you have any questions, please ask us. We'll be online all day. (and later of course).

best,
Morten and Knut

    Hi Guys!

This is what I would do:

    1) Brainstorm to refine and define your idea bit more--exactly what you want, and what you have to offer.
    2) Go to biz gym dot com. FREE business planning & pitch writing templates[/url] and MINIMALLY craft your pitch using their template. Ideally, if you do the whole biz plan, you will sharpen your pitch to a point where comparisons become difficult. Focus on what makes your coaching method unique, fast, reliable etc. Cause there's so much competition in that area. Also what kind of results you've already achieved.
    3) Go to lifehackdotorg. My sense is that dating is good but relationships are more inclusive and help you find the much needed overlap between personal development and dating. If you break the personal development into sections and make coaching the main focus, then you can build some kind of continuity. At least short term.

DO give site visitors a "buffet" of lists to subscribe to so they always choose what matters most to them, rather than trying to sell people on stuff they are not interested.

Forums are a good way to get continuity and membership that's less hands on.

Monetize like heck--with on and off line.

I think you can build it to be almost "passive." But not completely.

Check out Tim Ferris's Four Hour Work Week. He lays out a nice road map, and is a smart cool generalist we could all learn from.

If any if this helps, I'll be happy. My thing is encouraging (and equipping) people to pursue their dreams.

    Have fun.

    Sincerely.

    Chetr.

I notice you are a success coach, so am I.

The next step would be for you and your partner to determine exactly what you intend to provide and how much time, resources you want to put into this "passive income" .

For example, when I sold all my offline businesses, I decided exactly what I wanted:
no employees, no downline or affiliates to deal with, not a lot of customer service issues and passive recurring income from something a real value that I could offer free to try and a very competitive price for the value given later.

By having this very concise guidleline as my template, it was easy to look at different ways I could approach this and eliminate a lot of options because although they may be great methods, they didn't fit my criteria.

Once you have your criteria established, find someone who is successfully doing what you are doing and observe what they do. Read there information if they have any and model after that.

    Good luck.

    :-)
