How Many Sites Make How Much?

I do real estate and it lead me to having my own website, which led me to seo, which led me to here (Warrior Forum).

Now I have just become fascinated with the warrior forum, seo, and niche sites.

My question for you is: Do most of you do these niche sites as your main source of income, do you sell products on your sites, or do you just depend on the ads for income.

Also how much do most people make monthly off of your sites and how many sites to make that?

I realize this is a very private and some may consider it a rude question so PM me if necessary.

If you searched theres like a bazillion threads on everything you asked. Lot on here do niche sites yes, most don't make enough to replace their full time job, some make far more than that monthly(10k+). The make money off WSO's(warrior special offers on this forum), mailing lists(send products to people via email), they sell stuff on clickbank or promote that stuff on their sites, along with amazon products and adsense. They do CPA(affiliate marketing for big boys, also know as special offers, no sales needed) they sell websites on flippa.com, etc...basically any product, service or offer you can promote people do it on here on some site or another and make money off it.

You should start doing some affiliate marketing (selling other people's product and earning a commission on every sale made). It's a lot more profitable than adsense. With the holiday season around the corner, there are tons of products you can promote across a variety of niche markets. The cool thing about the holiday season is that people are so desperate to find what they are looking for, you don't have to "sell" to them. You just need to be ranked for the right keywords. Oh, whatever you do, don't put adsense on the pages where you are marketing products. It takes people away from your page, and you could be losing money.

      Good luck,
      Joey

I'm actually currently working on a niche site right now in the fitness niche. The search volume is about 15,000 searches per month with almost a $4 CPC and I'm very good at SEO so I have no doubt I'll rank #1 very soon!

As far as monetizing goes there are a TON of ways you can monetize.

    • Sell ad space
    • Adsense
    • Sell your own product
    • Sell someone else' product (affiliate commissions)
    • Make it a membership website
    • Offer 1 on 1 coaching? (depends on the niche)
    ...list goes on..

A buddy of mine actually makes $1,500 per month on a niche website that's purely informational. And it's all from Adsense!

Everything just requires a lot of testing to see how your market responds. Sometimes an Adsense ad that works well placed as a banner on one site, may not work as well for another website with the same amount of traffic?

Just takes testing, tweaking, and a bit of patience!

    best of luck yo!

    cheers!

Depending on how profitable the niche you are in is, you don't need a bunch of sites. You could just have one big one. Also, doing affiliate marketing (selling other people's products and earning a cut of the sale) and building an e-mail list are the two most common ways to start out making money from a site.

Like with any business, I always think diversification is key. I have sites making money with AdSense, Clickbank (sales), affiliate lead generation, etc. This way, if I get kicked off AdSense/my affiliate network goes under and doesn't pay/etc I'm not left out in the cold.

Actually diversification is NOT the key for any business.

There are plenty of businesses that focus only on their core competency.

I'm thinking Southwest Airlines would be a good example. They have one product and the focus on it intently.

Specialization rules most business. Become the best at what you do then repeat it.

You can put up niche sites or you can sell affilaite products in one niche and build a list or you can create videos to affiliate products or a ton of other things.

When I started I was all over the place and did some of a lot of those. The sites and videos make anywhere from zero to $35 a month so far.

But then I concentrated on building a list and helping others and things have increased a lot.

The key is to find one method you like and stick to it and give it some time because whatever you do, you will still have to get backlinks and traffic to make it a success. :-)
