What's your favorite form of monetization

Just out of curiosity, what is your favorite/most effective form of monetization for your website. At this present time for myself, Adsense and my Bodog affiliate(gambling website) are my two main money makers. Although combined, it's only around $75 a month.

Take the poll below and discuss. I'm curious to find out where the majority of Warriors are earning their revenue!

I don't see a poll. But my favorite so far, (probably because it has worked best for me in a short time) is building lists for different niches and then building relationships by really adding value to the people and then only offering something that is far more value than a small cost.

My fav. is selling e-books, because I can get instant cash into my PayPal unlike Adsense you have to wait for the check.

Amazon and Adsense convert the best for me as well. My readers seem like really trust the Amazon brand and aren't shy about purchasing products from the site.

    Hi,

Currently I have monetized my website with Google Adsense, Commission Junction and click bank. That earns me 380+ on an average per month. That's not bad..

    Thanks,
    Abhijit...

    Very cool poll idea -
Looks like ebooks and affiliate stuff is in the lead.

Personally I do best from my product launches, so I chose "other."

It's certainly one of the most lucrative ways to monetize a website, but you need the creativity and marketing ability to create and sell a great product.

Much more difficult than just throwing up a 300x250 advertisement widget, but then again, it's why you also make more money doing so. I've brainstormed a few humor oriented E-Book ideas, but I'm going to wait until this semester is over to write and launch them.

Amazon for me. People trust Amazon and are willing to spend there. Once you pre-sell them and send them to Amazon, you are almost guaranteed to make money because their site is super optimized to make sales.

I certainly agree with that, if you do a good job explaining/reviewing a few products and have an audience that trusts your voice, it's quite easy to make a sale on Amazon once they click the link.

for short term i vote for adsense, but in the long run I prefer to have my own product to sell and getting affiliates to sell for me too.

Shareasale and GoldenCan have been better affiliate programs then CJ or Clckbank for me followed by money coming in from Amazon, Adsense and a few of my own ebooks....diversification has been my goal after Ebay kept making so many changes my income from them plunged to nearly nothing.

Affiliate programs and review sites have been very successful for me. I've used CJ in the past, although I haven't been back there for a while now. Writing reviews or even just overviews of products in a trustworthy and honest manner is a win-win situation for you as well as the visitor I think.

Selling my own products, whether it's an ebook or websites. I like Adsense because it's passive, but I don't make a killing from it. Just a good, steady bit of extra income.

My favourite is Amazon, because of the high payout and good conversion rate..

My favorite form of monetization is one that actually sends checks to my mailbox - which is to say I will happily try them all, and any and all hybridizations of them, plus new ones. Obviously some work better for certain individuals, and we tend to get "good" at certain forms, but the bottom line is...well, the bottom line!

But, I guess my favorite at this point would have to be affiliate links (Obviously).

    Hi!

I agree with some previous statements of building a list. When you've got a buyers attention and their trust than you can sell them anything through any monetization form. Clickbank has been performing poorly for me lately.
