How long does it take google to ban a site - worried

I realised i accidently broke a fundamental rule by google and had white text over a white background, i didnt realise at first because the text was over a red header image but realised google doesnt recognise the custom image uploaded over my default (white template). In the time it took for me to remove the white text i noticed google had indexed the changes made to my site in that time period. Does anyone know how long it would take to review a website that is going to be banned or is it instantaneous? and would anyone recommend me contacting google to tell them what happened? Is contacting google even possible?

thank you

Just fix the problem and move on. If your site gets de-indexed, write some articles to drive people to your site. If you write high quality articles and then do a good backlink campaign on them, they should place pretty high in Google, no problem. Which will in turn drive people to your site. Trust me, EZA and GoArticles aren't going to be de-indexed any time soon.

If people come to your site because they found your article on the first page of Google then it really doesn't matter if your site got de-indexed, does it?

I wouldn't be to worried about it. There is a site in my niche that has keyword stuffed in the same color as the background. I know it has been reported to google for the last 3 years, but it is still listed in the top 10 of the serps. So in this case it has been 3 years and counting but still not banned or penalized at all.

            Hi
1st off there is a difference between having a domain banned and simply having it moved to Google's supplemental index. Once a domain is banned that state of affairs is permanent getting it out of the sand box (supplemental index) is a matter of following the advice given here. Use this tool to see if your site has been banned (Check Google Ban Tool) . Hope this helps.
