FREE TIP for IM newbies - Find your spot...

Here's the best bit of advice I could give to any internet marketing newcomer.

Find a method of marketing that you enjoy, embrace it and stick to it. If you enjoy list building, do that and do it well. Give it all your effort and don't get distracted by other influences.

The same goes for - article marketing, cpa marketing, video marketing, FB marketing, domain flipping, blogging, podcasting, SEM, PPC, or whatever type of marketing you choose.

Of course, sometimes you might want to put 2 together and that's okay (I make videos for CPA offers for example), but try not to add to your workload, because you'll end up doing a bit of this and a bit of that and in the end nothing gets finished and you don't get paid.

Plus, you need to brand yourself right off the bat. It's much better to be known as a master of your trade than a jack of all.

All the best,

Ray

Awesome post. I've heard others make the point before about finding your spot and sticking to it, but it's time for me (and many other newbies like me perhaps) to let it really sink in.

The challenge for me, now, is to be consistent--taking measurable action every single day--in implementing the one or two business models I think I can be reasonably successful in.

    Benny,

Everything will come with time. If you continue to be persistent day-in and day-out making your business better and better everyday, it's only an amount of time until you get what you you've been looking for. Stay focus, think big, and don't let no one tell you it can't be done...

Yes, there have been a lot of posts I've read recently about picking one thing and then sticking to it.

I think where a lot of newbies to IM, (me being one very recently) is that they believe the headlines of sales pages and jump from one thing to another thinking if you don't make money in 24 hours or some ridiculous time frame, then you must have failed so move on to something else.

When the truth of the matter is there is no super fast way.

If there were, there would only be one thread in this forum and it would all be about how great everyone was doing with that one method.

Can you make money online? yes
Can you make a living online? yes
Can you make a lot of money online? yes

But it will take focus, work and peristence.

That is probably the best advice that one newbie can get. Focus, focus, focus. Yes, it's can be hard, but that is the only way if you want to make some decent money. Internet is just too big, you need to focus yourself on one money-making method.
