YOUR SIGNATURE GETS THE SLAP!

I was posting and really adding value to the forum these last few days, and then all of a sudden my signature just disappears? Based on the current Warrior Forum Signature rules I haven't violated any of the rules..

I thought it was #5 or #6 but I actually have my own domain that I'm linking to, and from that page I'm sending viewers to a "click here to continue" which is then an affiliate link to a course.

The product owner never contacted me and told me to promote his product, I chose to on my own.

So my question is when and how long does it take for my signature to go back? I never used a direct affiliate link in my signature.

Help?

Moderators if you're reading this please PM me!

Here are the current WF Signature Rules...

Did you have any value on the landing page your signature linked to? Or did it just contain an affiliate link?

If the page had no value and only displayed a click here to continue affiliate link, I personally would think that would basically be the same as using an affiliate link in your signature.

    Just my thoughts.

Agreed and sounds most likely the case, If I'm wrong, my apologies. But if this is the basics of your sig link then yes you definitely need to add some value to your page, make it a quick review or offer a 7 day eCourse to help with the affiliate product and then get your affiliate clicks from the new list your building.

Yeah I'll definitely do something like that instead! I just took the signature page as a straight forward general idea. Thanks!

You mean all you had on the landing page was continue ... with your affiliate link? If so, that would be why. That's just skirting around the signature rules and is just using a redirect to an affiliate link.

Put real content on your site if you want to use it in your signature.

This is the main reason some of the rules may sometimes seem kind of vague. There's always someone who wants to find a way around the rules.

      > The rule says no direct affiliate links.

People started using domain-name redirects to get around that. After all, they were linking to a domain name they owned.

      > The rule is amended to disallow domain-name redirects.

Now someone has the bright idea of throwing a "click to continue" page up and using that for the affiliate link.

Later comes back and complains that they obeyed the letter of the rules.

Chris, I'm not taking a personal slap at you. You just happened to provide the example. You aren't the first to take a shot at playing 'forum lawyer' and you sure won't be the last.

Yeah definitely I take everything the warriors say as feedback. No hard feelings, just have to submit a ticket and then change some things around and I'm sure I'll be fine. Thanks a bunch yo!
