Marketing Ideas

I run several free hosting networks- the oldest was established back in 1997.

So far I have just listed in different hosting directories - but I am looking for some ideas, or possibly hire assistance to help market my sites.

(I can't post my link yet due to forum rules but if you go to free web hosting network dot com you can see my site list)

I have been reading this forum, but I don't see too much related to advertising my type of sites - does anyone have suggestions for me? I am a good backend coder and know linux and php / mysql really well - but on the marketing side I am a novice

    I'm not sure what you're really trying to sell but in any scenario involving marketing you need to clearly identify your target audience then figure out where they hang out online (or even offline) and find a way to get your offer in front of them.

      My sites are free hosting sites where people can host their domain for free, or free subdomain etc- but I only make money if people buy domains or buy the hosting plans

      I know if I just buy advertising on hosting directories it would probably be the best- but I am looking for other ways to help market that don't cost a lot.

      I have tried adsense, facebook ads, and a variety of other things but that didn't seem to get the return I was looking for

    You could try selling ebooks that would appeal to internet marketers.

    If you have some good traffic to these sites, you could offer a free ebook or guide that you could produce yourself or pay someone else to produce and distribute it via a sign up from your website.

    The guide could be on something connected to setting up a website, as this is connected to your own niche.

    One people have signed up for this, within the ebook you send them, you can offer other web marketing guides, you can buy these with master resale rights then, when you sell them you keep all of the profits.

    I am sure you could sell a lot from you site, because as you have hosting directories this gives you a lot of credibility in the eyes of visitors to your site.

    You could be sitting on a really nice goldmine there!
