Using redirection in wordpress

Hello, using redirection is OK in wordpress? Im just asking, because I havent made any sales from using redirections. So basically it is: -> my link -> my hoplink > affiliate site.

    Ho w are you redirecting, are you using a plugin, or php redirect?

    Is your affiliate link displayed as it is?

    Yes, it is ok, but it has to be done correctly. You'll need a redirection plugin for WordPress, or a standalone redirection script to do the actual redirects.

    I use the Thesis theme and it has the option of making each page redirect to another URL, so I use that on my personal websites.

    On other websites, I'll use a plugin like WinkPress Affiliate Links Manager to achieve the same thing.

      I use a php redirect script, means i'm in charge of what links i want to redirect and cloak.
      ( when i say cloak i dont mean in the black hat sense, i mean to make the affiliate link look more pleasing on the eye, i.e looks like:-

      domain/recommends/dogwalking.php etc
      rather than the ugly, off-putting hoplink-affilaite.com??)

      I dont trust third party plugins with my affiliate links.

      But everyone has a different method and its good to see all warriors different methods on here.
