Hey guys, I'm doing a free video series on how to go from $0 to $100/day from scratch. The video series is being done through YouTube. The introduction video is already up (see signature), but I'm wondering, how can I get people watching it on YouTube. I see some "make money" videos on there receiving well over 50,000 views and some even have 200,000+ views. Right now I have about 49 views and 7 subscribers (which is mostly from a thread I started here on the WF, but that was removed for some unknown reason). Do you guys have any advice about this? YouTube is not my specialty! |

Take the video with 200k views and model its title, keywords and description. Don't copy, but model the successful. You can also post video responses to popular videos featuring your channel url. |

| EDIT: LOL!! Chris must have beaten me to the Submit button!! Just a couple of quick tips: * Check out those videos that thousands of views and include the same tags. * Also study their titles as that can be a big traffic factor. * And you might consider creating some "video responses" to post to those popular videos. Make them relevant and special for those posts and not pitch-oriented or spammy... Attaching yourself to videos with a lot of views can...well...get you viewed. Especially if you have something pertinent to say and add value to the topic. Hope this helps! |

So is that all there really is to it? Modeling the popular videos & posting video responses to popular videos? Also, when does a video "take off"? For instance, does views usually start out real slow, then start building up, and then start building even quicker? |

For the detailed scoop on how all that happens you can check in with one of the masters, Kevin Nalty (Nalts for short). Here's an excellent document from him: Will Video for Food “How to Become Popular on YouTube (Without Any Talent)” - A Free eBook

Yeah, I appreciate all the advice. I saw a couple of services that offer views and ratings of your YouTube videos in order to try and make them "appear" as more popular, but this is not something I want to do. It makes me wonder though... how many people on YouTube are using something like this? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

So whatever you can do to affect the content surrounding the video is ALWAYS a plus. You can get search engine traffic to your video, but you can also get regular YouTube viewership traffic to your video.

Yeah, I knew about that too... I've been looking at this program called Traffic Geyser that will automatically submit your videos to 50 or so video sites, which helps give you more of a chance to come up in the SE's. It looks good and has a lot of good reviews, so I may try it out soon and see what happens.

I have only just started to getting your you tube videos to viral. But from what i read so far is do not rely on just you tube and sending visitors. It seems to be just like article marketing. Create content and then share it on other sites. I am sure there are a number of places where you can add or link to your youtube video to get others to watch it.

Hi I would definately go and try out Traffic Geyser, there is normally a $1 trial, I am a 'user'. I am also a affiliate (as are all members) but have not put my link here. Watching the Training Vids etc are definately worth the time. You should ping your Youtube URL. You should have an account like this YouTube - georgeslater's Channel You should make comments on Videos you like and link back to your vid if you can. You should set up a Google Account and a Google Local Business Listing and put the video link there. You should go into a few other forums and add your link. You should have your video link on any Free Directory you can. You should enter any competitions there are for videos (obvisouly with yours). You should blast any list you have and maybe offer prizes for extra video ideas. Good luck |

Thanks for the tips... I think I may put out a press release too. I guess that falls along the lines of article marketing, but it is different than simply submitting articles to article directories. So far I have 92 views and 10 subscribers anxiously waiting for my next video. But I think a press release may build a lot of interest from some newsworthy places.
