I'm trying to find video editing software that meets these requirements...

INTERNET MARKETING

First, I gotta say, I LOVE windows movie maker. It is simple + intuitive. I've pretty much mastered it.

But I have a BIG problem with it -- the LIMITED number of audio tracks!!

Then I bought pro show gold + it has a lot of cool bells + whistles -- and I think I could really use the heck out of it. Buuuut, it too ONLY HAS A LIMITED # of audio tracks!

My plan now is to make the vids in pro show gold, then (friggin') send them through *again* in movie maker (((furrowed brow/ eye roll))) just so I can lay down another audio track!

Is there any vid editing software that is AS EASY TO USE AS WMM, and has bells + whistles AND allows more (3?) audio tracks, AND that won't BREAK THE BANK???

PLEASE advise!

PS: I use XP (PC)

PPS: Why didn't WMM make one more audio track available -- or even pro show gold. They should('ve) know(n) better!

have you tried CyberLink PowerDirector 9 its about $90 easy as WMM and you can add as many audio tracks as you want check it out just google it i think its the best you can find for a small price range

Thanks -- yeah $100 is good -- if it really meets all the requirements. I like how you can get into some SERIOUS tweaking using the timeline in WMM. I am a "TWEAK FREAK," I guess. I can visually slide different elements around to my heart's content.

I get mixed up about which high-end editors are for the mac + which are for PC.

So, screen flo is for the mac, right?

Screenflow is for the mac, but it is for screen capture like camtasia.

For video editing on the Mac, you have iMovie, Final Cut, or Adobe Premier.

I have used Vegas Pro in the past, but the consumer versions are super powerful these days with everybody owning an HD camera.

I got Vegas Platinum 9 at Best Buy for around $79. I think there is still a version available in that price range and everything supports HD now.

Sony makes their own movies, so they know a little about it ;-)

Do the sony ones have a movie making wizard? There are times when it's ok to be lazy. That's one of the things I like about proshow gold. Takes elements (photos, video) and comes up with a movie -- diff. "styles" available.

Also, when I search the topic, I see talk of 64-bit processing. I have an XP w/ 2 gigs of ram. Is that good enough? What should I be looking for when buying?

Hey, I use camtasia. It's a little on the expensive side but it comes with a 30 day trial and it's really easy to use. I wouldn't use anything else.
