Weekend Traffic Surges? Anyone Else?

Did anyone else's sites get hit with a traffic surge this weekend?

A few of mine really went up in UV but I have one site in particular, that I have done nothing extra to that spiked up big time. It usually gets 30-40 uv a day, and Saturday it got 130 and so far today 260!! Not too mention getting around a weeks worth of sales in one day. Just wondering if anyone else saw this.

    Every site is different, you probably are ranking for some more popular search phrases now than you were. Do you have Google Analytics or some other analytics program installed on your site where you can see where your traffic came from? That may give you the answer to why you received the extra boost.

    LOL I looked at Google Analytics for the site and 90% of the traffic I got this weekend is type in so I have NO clue now. Thanks for the thoughts about analytics though. Will just hope it holds out.

    The same thing happened to me two weekends ago. I got 4 times my normal traffic (for one day only). I still have no idea what is happening.
