How to monetize a high ranked Jersey Shore site

Hey Folks

I bought and built a "fun" site a few months ago, Snooki Quotes

It's ranked #3 in google for "snooki quotes" and gets about 100 visitors per day on average. (Mostly from google, but some FB shares which always feels good)

While I make a decent revenue with SEO sites of different types, I've never done much with CPA. I currently have a free iphone 4s CPA offer up there, but even with 100 clicks per day and the assumed low IQ of visitors, none are converting (kidding, kidding).

All joking aside, i've got adsense up as well as a few CPA offers in the widget and I'm not bringing much more than a few adsense clicks per day - how would YOU monetize this site?

Thanks Warriors!

Jeff

Edit: Thanks all for your advice, I'm not a n00b to Wordpress or SEO - just to CPA, just FYI.

Edit 2: I did get this ranked at #3 with some off-site SEO, but I havent found it paying off yet which is why I haven't bothered pushing it to #1 yet.

I saw Snooki costumes at the Halloween store the other day. Online stores have them too. That's a very short term idea since Halloween is just around the corner.

Have you considered putting the quotes on separate posts? What about a quote graphic? I've seen several of these lately like this Colbert one, and they can easily go viral. Just put your URL on the graphic somewhere. Course that's not direct monetization, just a way to get more traffic.

That was a pretty cool idea for a site.

As far as profiting from it, I would suggest something much more targeting. I know it's real easy to profit from funny t-shirts in a niche like that. I don't know if you would want to go through all the trouble of having those made and shipping them though. If you did want to do that, you can get nice t-shirts made for 3-3.50 a piece at quantities over 50.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else you could try. Maybe take a look around MTVs website and see what kind of advertisements they are using. If you see something that looks cool and relevant, you can usually just google "company_name affiliate program" and find out how to get some advertisements for them.

Flip It! Jersey shore is a fad right now- but a damn hot one. Your site is identical to JerseyShoreQuotes.com - possibly that's where you got the idea. But just 7 months ago that site sold for $6,700 - check out -> https://flippa.com/buy/search?q=jers...m&status=ended

Fad sites make money in the moment and then they die - remember the Micheal Jackson rush after he died? Seen any new Micheal Jackson sites lately? If you think you can make some money with it in the short term, go for it because there's only one more show in this season. So try to monetize it over the next 4-6 months if you want, but unless you're doing numbers that really make it worth keeping - put it on Flippa about a month before the next season starts and you'll make bank.

Damn, now THAT'S a good idea.

Here's my concern Rusty, i'm not bringing in revenue with the site now which of course was a main selling point on that sale (i would imagine)

The flippa auction list their site as making
Gross Revenue (per month est) $811

I think Jersey shore will be hot for a few more years, but right now despite my sites ranking - I'm not getting more than a few adsense clicks per day.

That's OK... the site won't be worth as much right now as it will before season 5 anyway - so spend the next months building traffic and at least some revenue - then wait until they start all the hype previewing Season 5 - that's what they did with JerseyShoreQuotes.com - they waited until all the hype started for season 4. So you've got some time to generate some buzz - it won't take much.

Keep in mind that the sale price is also (partially) a function of the monthly income which can be boosted with affiliate programs such as the http://thebitbot.com/2011/09/satelli...liate-program/ which is being submitted to my article directories with no end in site as of late...

The Niche interest is quite to the corner in my opinion.

I wouldn't know what to market to snooki lovers, or rather bored out of my mind trying.

On the other sites, you're implementing, everything every other IMer is.

CPA offers convert better with content lockers and schemes like that.

Hello all this thread is right up my alley

      I have similar sites , to snookiquotes.com , ranking domains such as djpaulydmusic.com & jerseyshorehq.com

Also i have paulydquotes.com and djpaulydquotes.com which i havent done anything to yet. ( probably gonna put them on flippa)

Have a look at what i have done to monetize my sites, you will see i have CPL quiz's which have a high convert rate from organic traffic and social media traffic , you get paid .70 cents a lead ( which is amazing ) by combining that with adsense its a win , win. The affiliate network i use for these offers is Qwik Media Inc.
This will help you make daily consistent income from your site
P.s this works for any celebrity blog related site

Thanks for that - but you might want to remove the referral link from your CPA link - against the rules, so be careful.

        Thanks again, really

I would suggest maybe Adsense or actual Jersey Shore products that you can sell through Amazon Associates. If your visitors love Jersey Shore, then they may purchase clothing, DVDs, and other merchandise. I would concentrate on that for sure.
