How long should an Amazon book be?

I'm writing a book on facebook marketing for business. It's really for credibility and will contain a lot of useful information (and a few links.)

I plan to publish it on Amazon create space/kindle so I can say I'm 'published on Amazon'.

However, I'm worried about it being the wrong length. How long is too long and how short is too short?

    There's only one real answer...

As long as it needs to be. If you can cover the topic in 10 pages, then 10 pages it is. If it takes 1000 pages, then 1000 pages it is.

Don't worry about the length, focus on the quality of the content and let THAT dictate the length.

That being said, if it ends up being really short or long, then you can reflect that accordingly in your requested price.

    All the best,
    Michael

I think it depends on the topical itself.

But if it is an i-am-coming-out kind of book, then short is great.

Links should be Online profiles, twitter, facebook profiles, or blog where you can better manage interests.

    Hi Sadie

I think you need to aim for 100+ pages for a Printed book. Anything less looks a bit light and flimsy.

I have three books on Createspace and the one that is just on 100 pages looks a bit thin. It doesn't appear good value.

There is a lot of Kudos associated with having a book in print. So you do not want to disappoint someone with a poor and cheap offering. People who are not in the know will be amazed at your book in print - but they do not know how easy it is to produce. But you should look to have loads of great content as well.

I had a friend who said to me
"How come its got a bar code, is this a real book?"
