and have a domain forwarded to the subdirectory, how much does it effect my SE rankings?

Will the forwarded domain name even register in SE's?

Will I get any benefit from SEO work?

I have 2 blogs like this and am starting to wonder if it's hurting my efforts...

Anyone know for SURE?

    I don't see the benefit in redirecting the top level domain to a sub directory. Can you elaborate a bit as to why you're doing this? I can probably give you a better answer if you'll provide a bit more information.

    I too, don't see the benefit in redirecting if you don't need to. I'm not convinced it will hurt your search engine rankings, though.

    About your main domain showing up in the SERPS, I don't think it will for very long, if at all. If there's no content there at all it's useless to most search engines.
