Questions about Publishing on Amazon (Newbie alert)

I know these questions will seem basic to someone who's published to Amazon before, but I have a bunch of questions about it. The book's almost done formatting wise, but these are the questions....

Test copies - do I actually get to see test pages from the hardback and kindle? (I want to make sure my separators look perfect.) I'm also wondering what this is going to look like in physical form. I'm very nervous about that.

Do you get any free copies?

Is there a choice between hardback and paperback for create space?

What if the cover doesn't come out perfect? (I'm uploading a cover.)

Any advice would be appreciated.

I just did my first one, so I'm no expert, but...

When you publish the print version through CreateSpace, you order a proof copy. You do need to pay, but the cost is cheap (mine was something like $3.60 for the book and $3.60 for basic shipping). I believe that you always get low-cost copies of your book (like if you wanted to purchase a bunch to give out at a seminar or something), but I don't know if that initial proof copy price is the same that you'll get.

With your kindle version, you can download a "kindle previewer" through Amazon that lets you open the book and supposedly see what the user sees.

I'm not super technical and it was relatively easy for me to do everything.

    Love,
