Hi,

I am just adding an affiliate program to a new membership website of mine. The program is built into the site. The question I want to ask is, how much information do I need to collect from affiliates? Also, from a legal point of view, what info do I need to retain? and when I make monthly payments to affiliates, what paper work should I put in place?

Sorry, i'm new to setting up an affiliate program.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

      Hi,

      I set up all of my affiliate programs through Clickbank....which handles everything for me or 1ShoppingCart.com.

      1ShoppingCart requires a ton of information and I only payout affiliates through PayPal...I require a PayPal account for payment because I don't want to mess with sending checks.

      Both 1ShoppoingCart and PayPal allow me to print a record of payments for tax and reporting purposes. Clickbank sends me tax information since they are the ones wwho handle all of the transactions.
