Good Afternoon warriors

Does any one know if you can use a post off you tube for your website ?? The original song was made in 1979.

A good resources for free photos is Mogue file.. (it does have its limitations but I found it to be quite useful).

Thanks

Are you talking about embedding the video on your website?

Is the video already on Youtube?

          If so, I don't see why that's a problem.

          Anyway, it's up to you.

OK, that's absolutely fine. You shouldn't have any problems if all you are doing is embedding a Youtube video. The only way you could get in trouble is if you where claiming you held the rights to the video.

If you're uploading the video to Youtube you may get it removed (I doubt it though), but you won't get in trouble for uploading.

Alonza is right in this regard.

You are allowed to embed a YouTube video, for which you do not own the rights, on your site. I have done this on one of my websites. You cannot, however, claim the rights to the video, unless, for example, it is a video that you have personally made, uploaded to YouTube and then embedded on your website.

You can share the video on any website without issue but you can't go for commercial purpose without the knowledge of the copyright holder.

If YouTube provide you with an embed code then you can embed it on your website. That's what an embed link is for. And when the video is uploaded with the intention that it not be embedded on anyone's website, the poster simply disables the embed function.

^ That exactly. While what I said above about the embed link meaning they want it syndicated is correct, you can't claim you made the video unless you actually did.

The embed code even works as a backlink to the original video, which is one of the reasons people like their YouTube videos shared. Not everyone feels this way of course, so they have the option to disable the embed code.

As long as it is using the Youtube embed code.

You can take videos off youtube and play them on your site - whether you claim to own them or not.

They have to stay on Youtube so the person who created them is the only person publishing them.
