Selling Ad Space. Confused About Prices

Okay so yeah I needed money, and thought heck I can try and sell advertising space on my own site. Then I came across a problem.

First time I set up the price structure, I even offered bonus (free impressions) for the space. Couldn't get no orders except one, which I had to run a offer through a GPT site, and only made $0.80 since because I had to run the offer and pay him back 50% of what he spent.

Now I decided I could try cutting the prices even more, take the bonus offer away since I did cut the prices. Still no luck. There is a link in my sig, if anyone would be willing to offer some advice.

I understand it has no pagerank, and most traffic is sent from free methods, but I do get SOME search engine traffic. So can anyone offer some advice?

Should I cut the prices even more? Offer unlimited impressions until a certain number of clicks has been reached?

    Your site isn't "about" anything. That's your biggest problem.

    You can try selling banner ads on Fiverr. You might get a few takers. But for real advertising dollars you need a niche and a direction.

      Well I originally bought my name for the .com, and just wanted it for personal reasons. I am a little unclear about what kind of "niche" or direction I can really take with my own name.

      Internet Marketing is kind of heavy populated already. I like advertising online. Besides things like that, I feel like I am kind of a "blah" person.

        Then you need to start working on your personal brand.

        A friend of mine is into underwater photography and model trains. (Not at the same time, that would be cool but weird.) His site, unsurprisingly, is about those two areas of interest. He gets a LOT of traffic.

    Get free high quality plr and bundle it into a price offer.
    You can sell it here at the forum and other free marketplaces
    Keep in mind if you sell at fiverr, yout price has to be $5 although you can sell extra gigs.

      Thanks for sharing that. Yeah I joined fiverr and really haven't figured out anyway I can use it
