the duplicate content myth & Squidoo

I have learned so much here on the warrior forum,
the latest been all about article marketing strategys. I found this to be invaluable, check out any of Alexa smith threads re article marketing.

the best lesson I learned from this was, when you write a good article
put it on youre site first.!!!!!

then put it on some article directories, the big ones, and no dont worry about the duplicate content myth, but make sure its indexed on youre site before you post it to say EZA.

so Question re the above strategy, I have some Amazon sites and I have wrote some really good reviews over 1000 words, so after I put them up on my sites and get them indexed, could I put the same review up on a squidoo lense. I know squidoo is not an article directory.

but is any one doing this or is it possible, or should just rewrite the whole review ,

thankx warriors for all the help

Just change the article with some words otherwise it will be counted as duplicate content

It's not as simple as changing some words. If you're going to really want to use another article as a reference for your content, you'll have to spin it really extensively.

Of course you could always submit shoddy, barely spun content and you might just slip through, but the value you'd be providing in the long run wouldn't be of much use to anyone. Squidoo is so ripe for the taking nowadays considering the link value it provides (and it's so easy to make a neat page on it, with the tools given to you!)

If you are going to post your article at Squidoo, you should rewrite your article before posting it. Or else, Squidoo will not approve it.

It really depends on the website you're submitting article to. Some websites don't accept duplicate content. From my experience, duplicate content can be used to create some low quality backlinks (if you're submitting to huge number of low tier article directories for example), but if you have any spinning software, always spin your article before submission. It gives much better results.

So no posting of the same articles in two or more sites. Got it. But can re-structure the article to post on the other site. Got it.

      Wrong.

This arises with Squidoo (but not, for example, with article directories), because Squidoo isn't an article directory and has its own different terms of service, policies and procedures.

Just because Squidoo has a rule about something, you assume that it applies to any/all sites on the web?!

      Got it.

In my own experience, the duplicate content law depends on Squidoo. I have noticed if you have made a lens that has lots of duplicate niche in Squidoo, Squidoo will definitely not going to allow you to publish your lens since there are lots of lenses about that topic already. No matter how unique your content is, Squidoo will not going to publish. You will be flagged low quality lens or duplicate lens.
