article marketing vs video marketing

I just want to know, under the same circumstances. A website that is strictly marketed with 100 articles use for driving traffic by submitting it to various directories and bookmarking and co, and 100 videos which is more likely to send more traffic and of course make more sales?

Thanks guys

Strictly speaking I think that it would be very tough to actually give you a straight answer simply because each niche is different and therefore will actually respond in different ways to article and video marketing. Not to mention the goals you actually have for your website, for instance do you wish to see better SEO results quickly? or do you have another motive. Your overall strategy for promotion will depend heavily on what you want your outcome to be overall.

That being said I actually do both and I have seen a very positive outcome using video marketing (although for me creating 100 videos would take far longer than 100 articles for marketing). I would hesitate however to make this a discussion of Either/Or. Instead I would encourage you to submit both articles and videos as part of an overall strategy for promotion. Hope that helps :-)

I agree with Rylan. It's really hard to say because it really depends on the niche/market you're in. But it's always good to diversify your traffic streams...so keep doing both...

The strategy that you have to do greatly depends on what niche you are and trying to promote. Video marketing maybe helpful since video marketing is not affected by the Panda Update.

Like the others have pointed out, there's no way to say which one is better, because there are waaaayyy too many different factors involved. It all depends on what your target audience is looking for and what kind of quality you're publishing (after all, you might write killer articles, but publish so-so videos, or vice versa!)

Either way, I wouldn't put all of my marketing eggs in one basket. Why not work with both? You could always write a shorter article and dig deeper into the topic with a longer video - or vice versa. That way, you're offering visitors much more than just an article and a video that are exactly the same.

I agree with the others. You don't know what is going to work for you until you try it. So instead of making yourself arbitrarily choose either articles or videos, I would suggest splitting your time between both.

I am hearing from a lot of folks that article marketing is dying. You should go with video marketing anytime. I am not saying only do video, but do video first. Google loves video. Use YouTube (google owns them) and tubemogul.

I really do not think so. Based on my onw experience, article marketing is still a effective method to bring large amount of back links and traffic. Besides, compared to video marketing, it can save you much time.

I agree with the comments above

Each niche is different and the videos could be better quality then
the articles. So it will be hard to answer.

I like to use both articles and videos together. Doing that is very effective.

    I combine the 2.

You can add videos to your articles in AMA and syndicate
    videos and article together.

It's also dangerous to just get links from 1 source.

Why not test it on a smaller scale? Put up 10 articles and 10 videos and see what kind of results you get from each one of them. You'll have a better idea after you see those results.

Video Marketing is very effective and might be a better way to go because of the panda update on google.

I think different niches need different marketing strategy. if the niche is suitable to use the article marketing to generate huge traffic. so article marketing is better. otherwise. the video marketing is better.they are managing different area.some niches need more words to prove the truth.so writting article would be better. but some niches need much behavior to prove the topic.like dancing.so video marketing would be better.

I GOT IT! - Why not conduct a test run 100 articles to your favorite directories (may I also recommend you give you're content to high profile blogs and websites) and run a test with 100 - 2 minute videos - See what gives you the best results and share your results with us on Warrior Forum.

Come to think of it - I might just conduct this test myself...

    Good Luck...

I think article marketing until today still the most effective way to go. but i believe video is a strong trend, so, i suggest you use both.
you can first make article one as your main way, and try some video, as time goes by, when you are very skill on video, you can make video as your main marketing way.

here's what you do stop listening to hear say and people speaking theory. get hyper tracker track traffic and conversion form both methods and see which one works best for you.

the only real way to know is to test for yourself.

When you're talking of article submissions, you can only rely on EZA for quality result. Then why waste time in submitting to numerous directories when you can get the same result from the best site. You can then put your time and effort in video marketing .After Google and FB,YouTube is the most visited site, you can well estimate the power of video marketing in SEO .

I think it also depends on how well you do your articles or videos... crappy article won't convert anyone, same as crappy video... so it's not important which method is better, it's important how good you do it...
