    Hi Raydon,

These seem to be what you're looking for (found through Google: "backlink tracker"):

You can also use Yahoo Site Explorer for backlinks (there's another one for like anchor text backlink checker, but if you don't care, SE will do). I can't post the link, but if you google that, you'll find it

there is a a lot of free and paid system available for checking back link and monitoring. I use backlinkwatch.com . It is free and very easy, just put your website address in input box and click on check backlink.
Or you can also google for "backlink checker".

I actually use a variety of tools both paid and non paid. Backlinkwatch is great as a nonpaid option and in the paid variety my goto applications include Traffic Travis, Keyword Elite 2 and market samurai.

I should point out that neither the free or paid options give you an exact count on the number of backlinks. You should use them as an indication rather than an exact science to see you are on the right path and to compare with your competition. In the end concentrating on delivering good content rather than increasing your backlinks will give you better results overall both in the search engines and for your wallet.

No to everyone else, the programs are not reliable; what you want to do is submit your site to Google webmasters tools. This can be done very easy, now you will only get rankings for Google, but Google will identify all the links, even Nofollow Links. Any non extraneous links will fall out of the link graph, so take a weekly screenshot of the links you have, your positioning in Google, and use some of the other checkers.

Now the reality of the situation is your Seo'r should be getting you on page one or top five of Google, or maybe even 1st position depending on the keyword, and that should be the end result, and in turn your money in your pocket.

Some of the links are going to fall out of the link graph, and that is just par for the course of this business.
