$20,000 before 2012... My plans
Hi all,
This post might be a little fast-paced and long, because this all thing just came to my mind while playing video games... (Maybe it is a bit strange
) So I am still a bit brainstorming. Let me explain:
The Goal is to make $20,000 by the end of this year, let's say a few days before new years eve.
My secondary goal is to make a documentary of the whole thing... From the first day to the last. I will be writing down my experience and moves.
Also I want to give something back to WF, because I learned so much here... This is why this ebook will be free for WF members
Here is how I am aiming to do it:
I have a startup that I am developing. It was originally a summer project. But when the team got lots of positive feedback from friends and family, we decided to make this big.
The startup's URL is a secret for now (some of you might know it already), but no worries, it will be something very innovative and new I promise
I am planning to monetize it (once it goes live) with AdSense and Amazon, maybe later some manual ad and link sales.
But there's gotta be more than that. The report will include everything I do to reach my goal. The whole process... Start - Promotion - Monetization
I think promotion is the hardest like always. I will do it with social media promotion (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, SU), viral marketing and quick SE traffic.
As I said everything will be written down
My plans in detail:
1. Starting the site:
The site will be launched sometime late in November or in early December. This means that I will have about a month to achieve my goal. So I have to earn $666 dollars a day on average. That is large ammount. But there is a little shortcut to this:
I will make the site available to hundreds of testers in early November. That gives me another month in addition. Of course that November will not get as much attention as December (the shopping season).
2. Promotion:
Here comes the hardest but the most fun part
a) Social Media (Social networking and Social bookmarking):
I have already created a profile on most sites and now I am steadily getting friend/followers. e.g. I have got already 110 followers on Twitter after a few days. So I expect a steady flow of traffic from those after the buzz starts.
b) Viral marketing:
Just a picture to that:
Nothing really to add... Offer some stuff free and go viral
c) Google traffic:
I am aiming to create an SEO friendly design from the beginning. Also adding title="" tags to links and generating SE friendly URLs are the most important at this point. So I am expecting some small traffic from the start.
3. Monetization:
I will generate income with AdSense or (and) Amazon. This will be the point where I get to know that months of hard work was worth it or not

As mentioned earlier, I will fill in some new details later since my brain is in overdrive right now.
