Adding Google Analytics code to WP theme

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a couple of sites that I would like to add Google Analytics code to for tracking as a test. These sites both use WP themes. Does anyone know where I put the code into those sites? Would it be under "Appearance" - "Themes" - "edit" ??

Alternatively, you can use simple wordpress plugins like

Adding analytic tracking code in old html page also very easy. Just Go to hosting control panel and find out index.php or index.html file from file directory. Then just paste tracking code to it <head> ..</head> tags.

  I use the Google Analytics for Wordpress plugin. Dead simple to use and you don't need to worry about where to put the code (I wouldn't know where to put it anyway!).

I use the Google Analyticator plugin. It works and is easy to use.
