Hi,

can someone please explain to me what traffic exchanges are? Do they provide any value and actually help drive traffic? Also does anybody know of any good traffic exchanges based in the uk?

Thanks

Traffic exchanges are places where online business people exchange page/offer views with other members.

You look at my offer, I'll look at yours.

Most people that use traffic exchanges are mlm'ers or some other type of recruiting people thingy and are not at all interested in what others have to offer because they're pushing their own stuff.

90% of them won't pay for upgrades so they spend at least an hour per day clicking and looking at other offers in order to generate views of their offers.

Almost none of them are making money and won't make any.

Most will not leave mlm or the "how to make money" niche even if you put a gun to their head.

Most think selling online business stuff is all there is to conducting business online.

They don't know really want to know about...

    - niche marketing
    - ppc
    - building their lists
    - having a website or at least a landing page in their sales process
    - using a blog for marketing

Any of the higher tactics of profitable online business.

    Or...

anything other than clicking for credits or somehow placing and ad at a biz op hangout and hoping for the best as they try to sell online biz op stuff to people that really don't want to hear it.

Sure, lots of people will look at your offer but 90% of them will not be interested at all.

    Hope This Helps!

Can really spell it out any better than TL, except to add that traffic exchanges are an absolute waste of time. Considering the time commitment vs page views vs actual sales, you are better off putting your efforts elsewhere.

Traffic exchanges just don't work, and I'm at a loss to understand why they are still around.

People using them are there for one thing - to build credits so others will see their ads. They don't care about your offer. Most people are there to sell, not to buy.

If you were looking for a specific offer, where would YOU look? Would you waste time scanning hundreds of pages in a traffic exchange or would you just do a Google search for the specific type of product?

Traffic exchanges don't bring you targeted traffic, and that's what you need if you expect to sell your offer.

Traffic exchanges will only work if you are in the make money online niche
and only if you use them a certain way by building an opt in list through
them and not trying to send them directly to a sales page.

The key to getting opt ins is to show these people how to drive traffic to
their site, which is the reason they are there in the first place.

Other than that, you're totally wasting your time with them.

I use them and they work for me because I do as I said above. Most
people do not know how to use TEs and that's why they fail.

Jon Olson is a member here and a traffic exchange expert. He will pretty
much tell you the same thing I did as he owns his own traffic exchange.
