Have you tried Entropay? It is not a bank but you can transfer money from your debit card to your Entropay card and shop online and even use it in PayPal and AlertPay. It is a prepaid virtual visa card. I have been using it since 2008. No fees other than loading charges (4.95%).

i have entro pay virtual card, i have one question, can you use entropay card for indian shopping sites ? Will they accept it?
Can i recharge my mobile via paytm DOT com and pay using my entro pay visa card?

myfatcash is right

entropay is good i have been using it for last 8 months and i never got any problem and also i don't think paypal have any issue with entropay i buy online everything with my entropay vcc through paypal. You should check entro pay and they only charged 4.95% when you load vcc

Go for ICICI with a FD. For less than Rs. 20,000, you can get a credit card with about 85% (of the amount) limit. So, for 20,000, you'd get a card with 17,000ish limit. That can be used literally anywhere.

I have icici bank savings account, if i open a FD of rs 20,000 will they give credit card straight away ? i heard that fixed deposit should be for a tenure of 180 days and after tenure they will issue credit card.....is that true? Should i wait for 6months for credit card?

No, you get it instantly. It starts working within 7 days. I got one on 24th March and it started working on 31st. I did call their customer service a couple of times but that's normal, heh.

After 6 months or so, you can easily get the standard CC with good limit based on your transaction history, etc.

I think you call the ICICI or HDFC call center for information. yes you can ask here on this Warrior Forum but it will take too much time for you to get all the information and solution of your confusio. just call the call center and tell their problem i think a sales representative come to your home for giving you credit card because they earn commission on selling them to you.

Ya that's a good idea, i will call icici bank customer care.
I have entropay virtual card linked to my paypal account , till now entropay didn't restrict my account, in future they may send e-mail as part of random security checks by asking me to send Passport copy, Photographic Drivers License, utility bill....i don't want to disclose these details to them.
That's why i'm thinking of having credit card , i better get credit card and link it to paypal and remove entropay card.
