Please help out a newbie...I read in another post, someone was using Fiverr. What is that? :confused:

It's a site that lets you list your services, called gigs, If someone buys your gig you make less than $4. The customer pays $5, the site takes $1, PayPal takes a few cents.

Fiverr is a marketplace for gigs that are priced at $5. Essentially, you can sell and buy tasks for $5. So anyone can create a gig for small service on the site, and visitors can accept gigs as well. Gig prices are fixed at $5. Buyers can order gigs and are required to pay for the gig in advance.

Tasks are divided into categories, including Funny and Bizarre, Social Marketing, Graphics, Writing,Technology, Business, Silly Stuff and Programming.

Fiverr posts buyer feedback on people who perform tasks. Task performers will be given a positive feedback score, which can be seen by users who are considering hiring them for gigs.

Newbie to IM or newbie to the internet?

If you are browsing the web for more than one day (and you are because you signed up here 4 months ago)... you should be aware of the existence of the so called "search engines"; e.g. Google, Bing etc.

Now typing in any of those search sites the word "fiverr" - you would get as the first result exactly the site you are asking about.

If you couldn't figure out that much during the last four months about how to do a search ... I doubt you have any future in online marketing! :rolleyes:

ok, there are many definitions for what is fiverr, they can call it a microworkers website or micro jobs website or cheap outsourcing website since people provide at affordable price.

My definition : it is a website similar to mine

A sweet little site that makes me a boat load of money each month for doing little but effective tasks. They can be fun, marketing, helpful or just about anything you can think of there are some really creative ideas on there

Fiverr is a site where people look to hire, or offer to perform various tasks for $5, hence the name(although it isn't spelled right).
