Where to find WSO cover images?

Unless you're brilliant at graphics, I'd just outsource the WSO ecover creation.

Personally, for some products I use a relatively high priced designer. Where I just want something quick to fill the gap, I can often get a 'good enough' ecover on Fiverr.

There are literally a ton of places you can get your ebook covers designed nowadays. Some people just use fiverr, others will use designers from the Warrior Forum, others will use free online generators. I would probably recommend using a designer from the Warrior Forum. Take a look through this forum, there are some great deals to be found.

Warriors For Hire

Find a designer and make sure you check out some samples from their portfolio. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the fiverr designers or online generators. I would always rather pay a little bit extra to get a nice professional design done. The ebook cover is the 'face' of your product so make sure it portrays quality.

If using the image for a WSO, one thing to bear in mind is to have your designer match the background color of the ecover image to the light grey color of the WSO post box. There's nothing worse than seeing ecovers with a white background - they just look tacky.

  Semmy is fast and does a great job for under $20 (last I checked ;-)
  
  Fiverr is ok for what you pay... but it takes longer and they usually wont do revisions.
  
  So you end up saving money and and way better quality if you go with a fellow warrior like Semmy.

I use Photoshop and the 1clickcovers plug-in to make DVD covers etc. As for the images: I get some from public domain sources, some from a DVD of 100k images I got from serif.com, and for others I take the picture myself.

I make me own via Photoshop actions.

You can also make them with GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program .

All I did there was:

1.) Made a snapshot of the Warrior Forum (deals with product in question)

2.) Fired up Photoshop and typed catchy Text.

3.) Used some free Gold Layer thingees to make the text gold-layerly.

Voila - instant eye-catching graphic!

If you have the flat images, send them to me and I'll create the ecovers for you.
