A quote that applies to us, expecially newbies

My wife just read me a quote from Jim Rohn that applies to us in our endeavors to succeed in this business. I thought I would share it with the members.

"If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don't, you will find an excuse."

If you think about this when we are trying to learn to succeed in this business. Don't let the obstacles stand in your way, find a way.

Jim Rohn was a damn smart fellow, too bad he left us so young.

    I hate to admit it, but I do it too.

      Yes, it's very true.

      When you find a way it does not mean that you will always be successful but you can then learn from your mistakes. Some prefer not to think of them as mistakes but simply more obstacles to overcome.

    I've used that quote with my kids before... trying to teach them to be responsible and work for things. My 13 year old brother-in-law lives with me and he is always asking for $100 shoes or $70 hats and making excuses as to way he can't earn some money to buy them so I should get them for him. I keep telling him there are people everywhere that want things you can sell them or don't want to do things you can do for them and that if he really wants those shoes, he will find a way to buy them. Otherwise, he just doesn't want them enough.

    Same thing my mom told me growing up... I ended up settling for the $15 shoes my mom bought me each year because after all of the work I did to earn my money I didn't want to spend it on the shoes!
