Have you thought about how you are going to use the website to bring in revenue, Laurian?

You'll probably want to familiarize yourself with a WYSIWYG HTML Editor like Dreamweaver.

Some free editors are Kompozer and Nvu:

A blog can be customized to look like a real website btw.

Well according to me before buying domain you should go ahead do extensive research on niche of the website you are planning to develop. You should select most profitable niche if you are planning to make money out of the website which you will develop.

Once you are done with booking of domain & setting up of hosting you should go ahead and study TOP most websites in that particular niche & finalize Menus for your website, as soon as you are done with that you should touch base with content writers and start developing fresh and original content for your website. As we all know content is the king on Internet. Once complete website is developed, finally you should start with the META TAGS work & link building work in order to allow that website to achieve high rankings on search engine & more traffic.

I started my career before 5 years and right now i have around 375 websites of my own making around 5 digit $$ income every month from adsense.

Some great advice on research. It truly is key and will make or break you in the long run.

Be sure to do goo keyword research. micro niche finder is a good tool for this.

Find a good keyword rich domain using dashes between the keywords you are trying to rank for if using multiple keywords in the domain.

Long tail keywords are always best to start out with as they are less competetive and more targeted

High ticket commissions right now. Infinite Income Plan

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the advise. I'm not to sure how i'm going to use my website to generate revenue. I am trying to break into the Internet market and I have been doing research etc but I'm not to sure what the next step for me is. I am most definitely going to be taking a look at the HTML editor that you have suggested. Could you please give me advise on the following.

What ways are there to make money on the Internet?
What is the most effective way to create a website?
How did you learn? Where did you start?

Any advise would be very much appreciated!

Thanks

stepping right into the deep end it sounds.

I think most people these days - especially of younger ages start exploring how to make websites in their teens, then as they get older and more experienced they then realise they can make money from it.

I suggest you just make a personal website first - say $100 a year to run, keep etc. Experiment with the design on that first, see how keywords on specific pages work. There is a lot to learn from in SEO, marketing, making money, web design, content and more so start somewhere simple and where you won't get discouraged when and if your plans fail.

Aim to get good at all of those things before you try to profit from it. My 0.2c worth. I say that cause i think i was in your position a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the great advise off both of you!

Ive had a good read through the free step by step guide to CPA & PPC affiliate marketing. Just one question.
When doing affiliate marketing the way that, that article suggests. Do you not have to have your own website or blog that promotes the product you choose to affiliate?

drewevans - I have also had a quick look at your website, looks very attractive and thats exactly where I want to be. Just wondering what tools you used to build that website so I can research it. Did you build it from scratch or did you use a template?

Does anyone know any good free website templates that maybe I could use as a start?

Thanks again for all your advise!

Creating a website nowadays is very easy. You may use dreamweaver or any predefined html editor. No need to sweat coding the hard way. I think that is the first thing you should think of

Laurian

Don't even worry about the design until you have your domain. Mine is for a particular audience so something that looks attractive might not be suited to what you are actually doing. And yes was built from scratch.

Personally i find it harder to edit a template than to just build your own - but it depends if you have a specific look you want. That's me, others might find the other way helps.

I used dreamweaver because I can't code - developers here would probably be able to tell..hehe

Laurian, to be honest, it sounds like you could use a step by step newbie guide. I haven't read it, but this one by Jeremy Kelsall ...
