My Curious Site Listings On Google... Can Anyone Explain This?
I put up a new site on 19-December last (exactly a month ago today).
That domain name is the same as my primary keyword phrase and, contrary to what I expected, this is how it now appears in Google:
1. Keyword phrase WITHOUT quotes (4,400 searches a month) appears at number 5 out of 450,000 results.
2. Keyword phrase WITH quotes (1,000 searches a month) appears at number 22 out of only 900 results.
I don't mind since most normal humans don't use quotes anyway but, while I gave up trying to "get" Google a long time ago, I really did expect it to be the other-way-round (i.e. "without quotes" lower down in the SERPs and "with quotes" higher up).
Anyone have any idea what's going on?
Tommy.
