Amazon site for outside USA

I'm a newbie at Amazon Affiliate Marketing and was wondering about the following:

If you've done a nice blog or site, then why not duplicate the same or similar thing for other markets? How would you do that?

Would it be a completely new URL, or how about just putting a subdirectory and having that be your foreign site?

Example: ...com/uk .com/au, etc.
Does that make sense? What are the considerations here?

Thanks!

This is something I have been trying recently for a site aimed at the UK- except you can't use the same content because most models of the products I am promoting are different in the US and UK. I use a co.uk domain name as I think this has more trust value for UK traffic. Also it is easier to get the domain name you want.

My only concern would be the lack of fresh content since it would be a duplicate of another site.

You would struggle to rank with duplicate content. Better to look at your existing content and spend a little time rewriting it. By this i don't mean start again just change words and small parts of it, add a sentence or two of fresh content and so on.
