Backlink Building Services

Hi all,

I am thinking about finding/using a service to build backlinks to a website that I own, and I had a few questions for the Warriors here.
  1. Do you use these services, or do you prefer to build your own backlinks? Are they a waste of money?
  2. Do they have a negative effect on the website rankings?
  3. Those of you who have used a backlink service, did you find that you got what you paid for?
  4. What sort of traps should I look for when choosing a service?
  5. Can you recommend any backlink building services?
  6. Any other tips?

    John, I've actually used quite a few of these services when they get run in the WSO section.

    The key is to use ones that have really good feedback. Lately, some new offers have come up that are not getting rave reviews

    If you are on a budget, Angela has a $5/month service for backlinks. It's good. You have to do all the submission work yourself but she sends a packet of 30 sites where you can get high pagerank backlinks. They are typically social media sites, large corporate sites, or forums that have high pagerank. Very useful. Check the WSO forum.

      @Jeremy -- I've had a look in the WSO area and I've seen a few, including Angela's. I'll check them out more thorougly.

      @AverageGuy -- Thanks for the link. It looks like a good service. One question though. Is it just directories you submit, or do you also make posts in forums and blogs?

      @Chris -- I definitely like Angela's offer and was actually considering it before posting this. Time budget is more of an issue though, and I was looking to outsource this. Still, I reckon I'll subscribe to Angela's service anyway.

      I guess the main things that concerns me with using an outsourced service is that they'll use spammy links which will end up being useless, or worse, negatively affecting my site. Has anyone had any experience with this?

    I would recommend WLMarketing.com, they have had a couple WSO's here on Warrior Forum with good success, and I've personally used them, and their services are top notch! Fast turn around, and does exactly as advertised.

    Nice topic, i think to start off better backlinks by yourself first. Then you can source for the building backlink services. There are few quite decent ones in WSO, just go for the one with good review that what I normaly do.
