What I have learnt so far about Email Marketing, please tell me If I'm going in the right direction to managing a success list, If not please guide to towards to right direction
Thank you.

Building a Relationship with your list:

The most important set of emails you send to a subscriber are in the first week because it will decide whether the subscriber will stay or leave. If you are providing relevant value to the subscribers all the time then they will likely stay. If you spam your subscribers with offer are offer you'll find that a lot of them will unsubscribe, don't spam your list, treat them as gold.

True or False if false then what would you say is true.

Creating Follow Up Emails to Send to Your List:
Promote something every two weeks to your list that you think is a good product. Send four emails a week off value out to your list, a lesson, trick, tip, techniques, tweaks ect.. to build a relationship. Don't try and promote something to your list in their first month, first build a relationship by sending them four to five emails a week of value tips tricks ect, then after a month send them promotions only once every two weeks, and continue sending them value information four to five times a week.

This is some of the information I've learnt about email marketing so far, please correct me if I'm wrong I want to learn and get this stuff right.

A few questions I have, and If you could answer them It would be great, It would help me a lot !

What do you say in the very first message of that you send out to your list?

How much times a week should you write to your list (I'm talking about pure value no spam, I will never spam my list once I get one)?

How often should you promote to your list?

Should you set up messages ready for your list, If so how much message should you set up?

How much messages weekly do you send to your list once you set it all up?

For product promotion should it be Follow up or Broadcast?

I'm not expecting you to answer all these, but it would help my education in Email Marketing if you answered a question for me Thank you

Absolutely, I also find it helpful to send an email explaining to them how I work and what they can expect from me. I'm very honest and even say from time to time I will send them an email about a product that I use or recommend. If they don't like that then this gives them the opportunity to unsubscribe immediately.

I actually want people to unsubscribe. I want my list as targeted as possible. If I have a list of people who just want free stuff and don't want to buy anything then what's the point? You need to teach your list that whilst you will provide incredible value and share lots of amazing things with them, that you will also be selling to them. If they don't like that they can leave. You don't want these people anyway.

This is very personal. How do you feel about receiving 4 emails a week? Do you like this or does it make you switch off? Email marketing is about finding an approach that you are happy with. I personally don't like sending out too many emails, i.e. daily or 4 times a week and some people would consider this spamming.

This approach is what I call a harder core method.

I agree not to sell in the first few emails however to come up with a product every two weeks and sell you're going to have a very high unsubscribe rate. Which is fine - but you then need to have a very high optin rate to balance it out.

What do you say in the very first message of that you send out to your list?

As I said above, my first email is thanking them for subscribing and telling them about what I will be doing and also what I won't be doing.

How much times a week should you write to your list (I’m talking about pure value no spam, I will never spam my list once I get one)?

How often should you promote to your list?

I have a weekly message going out on autoresponder and then if I write a really good blog post, for example, I recently wrote a blog post about how to make money from your blog then I'll send a quick broadcast out telling people and directing them to my blog.

Again this is a really personal thing and I suggest you test it. You can get very good results by sending out emails regularly, i.e. more than once a week, but you need to have a good amount of traffic and optins to be able to do this as your unsubscribe rate will be considerably higher.

My approach is what I like, I dont' like daily emails, regardless of what's in them. I consider that spamming but I know some internet marketers do this and get very good results. Marketing is a choice, for example I know there are ways to get better results from social media by "spamming" but I choose not do these methods as I'm too ethical!

Should you set up messages ready for your list, If so how much message should you set up?

Yes, you should have an autoresponder series, how many is upto you, at least 8-9. I have 20.
How much messages weekly do you send to your list once you set it all up?

I send one message a week as part of the autoresponder and then broadcast as and when something comes up. No more than once a week though.

For product promotion should it be Follow up or Broadcast?

You could do both. I would imagine broadcast would get you better results.

Email marketing is about testing and split testing so you can work out the best times of the day/the best day/which email gets more opens/clicks etc.

    Best of luck
