loose weight niche marketing ADVISE

Just found a micro niche in the loose weight with low competition and willing to give it all.

1.Would appreciate advise on "best" site structure in relation to ranking high on google and that converts most in the loss weight niche
2.what to prioritize - physical products or information. I am going for both anyway.
3.Any further advise would be appreciated.

thanks

How you craft your sales message is going to define you success.

It's a micro niche, sure. But if it's still weight loss, I bet you're going to want to throw up a lot of weight loss related images -- skinny bodies, befores and afters, measuring tapes. . .

And your prospects have seen it all a million times.

    And they'll say, "So what?"

    There goes a customer.

You're going to have to explain to them why that solution is different, why it will do what nothing else will do, and what is it about it that makes it different? It will work because it's unlike anything else your prospects has ever seen, right?

    Make it convincing.

My first tip for you would be to make sure you spell it "lose weight" not "loose weight". This will help you rank for the correct terms and perhaps give readers some assurance that you do have a clue on your topic.

As far as products, you can sell either physical or digital and/or monetize with Adsense. The key to remember here is that the person looking for "tips to lose weight" is not necessarily in buying mode. Whereas the person looking for "Diet Solution Reviews" may be ready.

What can you offer that is different? There are lots great weight loss sites out there. Some are supported by major companies and offer forums, widgets etc. There are many affiliates out there, some of whom have excellent reviews and information. The market is also super competitive.
What can you do to make what you are doing in the field stand out? What can you offer the consumer?

I personally like promoting physical weight loss products, many of which I check out myself so I can offer quality reviews. I found this area to be much easier than digital weight loss products. But your mileage my vary. Is there a digital product you really like? Then you may want to consider it. But as saturated as the market is for some of the top digital products, it will be hard to make a lot of sales is you really don't know the product but are just regurgitating information.

As far as themes go, take a look at some of the top ranking weight loss sites and get ideas. That will give you a good starting point.

      Spot on.

Often it's the loose weight that causes one to want to lose weight in the first place. Most of us have no problem accumulating 'loose weight'... :p

I've heard John Carlton (copywriter extraordinaire) give the 3 toughest markets to write for as:
    1)Weight loss
    2)Weight loss
    3) Weight loss

I say that not to discourage. Prove it wrong and cash in.

    Good luck with it,
    Jeremy

Maybe "weight loose" is easier. LOL

Well, actually, "weight loose" is still very tough with only 590 global exact searches and "high" competition according to the Google Keyword Tool.

Difficult because it's all been done - and done by some of the savviest marketers in the world. Think Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, etc. - multi-billion dollar industry dominated by VERY sophisticated marketing pros.

SO - the trick is to learn from them, AND to carve your own, VERY specific niche and message.

As others have said here - resist doing what everybody else does, or you will look and "read" like everyone else.

Find a unique message that is relevant to a specific audience. And then OWN IT.

Only way to go! But it's ALWAYS the only way to go.

      THIS is marketing...

Man, I've got to echo what some others said. I can't believe how often I see "loose" instead of "lose".

    1. Put this in your Permalink structure. It sets you up for Category/Postname for your website
    /%category%/%postname%

    2. I would definitely go for a 'Amazon Bestseller' physical product
Get ranked for that product and then cross promote a high converting
    Clickbank Info-product

    3. Make sure you have a nice design and a good 'About Us' page.
Have a reason for your website to exist and a reason why they should
listen to you and why they should buy from you.

    Good Luck!

Y'all beat me to it. It's actually pretty easy to spell "lose" as "loose" as I caught myself doing it recently before I had to smack myself.

Don't base your traffic strategy on Google!

There are better and far more sustainable ways on getting high quality visitors to your site.

Thank you for pointing that out, its a typo. The found niche is a very micro, just within the lose weight definition.
As my question is to get some strategic responses on site structure design in relation to popular advise on either physical or digital item or both to promote from experienced warriors to complement or define my "first site" within the lose weight definition.

Maybe his long tail keyword is related to LOOSE weight and not LOSE weight. Who knows. In that case, he's got something there.

    Site structure:

Related stuff. Links within content to other pages related to topic. Like specific diets, exercises, etc.

    Products:

Test both. I had most success building a list and selling my own products.

    Further advice:

    Test!

"Loose weight advise" becomes "lose weight advise" because of earlier advice on the mis-spelling of "lose".

Also if you spell "advice" in the american way, that's going to help too. Unless you feel the U.S. isn't the market you're after...

Again, that may be his secret keyword. Who knows? I'm sure that others make the same mistake, too. So it may make sense.

I have found, and not everyone is in the position to do this, that my most successful strategy in this niche was to pick a diet plan and follow it myself. Of course, you can really only do this if you need to lose some weight yourself. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose but I wanted to lose a little, so I followed a specific diet and recorded my progress.

Along with recording my progress I also wrote articles and gave information on the niche/micro niche. I also added recipes that I used that were within the guidelines of the diet plan I followed.

By making it personal I did attract visitors that then participated and left comments on my blog. I think the biggest factor that brought visitors to the site was actually the recipes that I added and even now, a year later, I'm still receiving a lot of visitors to those recipe pages.

Even after letting the site go and not updating it for a long time, this website is still my biggest earner. I have only recently started working on it again because of it's earnings with no recent effort on my part, I know that it could be earning a lot more if I start putting the effort into it.

Anyway, that's my bit of advice - try to be personal so your visitors can relate and so you can build a relationship with them.
