Returning to IM with a plan of sorts

I wasn't doing IM for too long previously due to financial problems but I am back now. I just thought I would try and run a (quite basic) plan by you all. I suspect it has been heard a few times before, on here and other places but I wanted to get 'it right' .. or as right as starting out can be.

I plan to start a website which will be promoting CB products in a certain area. Each product will have it own /subdomain. The idea would be that someone interested in one of the products might go for a different product instead, for whatever reason, if they didn't end up wanting the one that brought them there.

I would use hubpages, squidoo, eza, blog comments and a little PPC to bring the traffic.

Have I missed/overlooked/left out anything? feel free to slap me round the back of the head and point the obviousness of something out to me!

how about rather than just throwing up a bunch of random products that you think a person might choose instead of the initial product, you instead first research your chosen market and "see what THEY WANT!"

What problems are they looking to solve?
What are the common questions they are wanting answered?
    What are their Hot Buttons"

Then once you find the answer to these questions you can populate a group of products around those answers.

Most definitely you want to market products which can go together and belong to a certain niche. Another thing, don't forget SEO techniques to get some free traffic. I am offering a free ebook on this. Please see right below this post.

I would use a more direct response approach to converting the traffic, generating a lead or opt in and converting them with an email auto responder.

Put together a daily plan of action and do it every day, always testing and refining things.

Hey, in my opinion it's good that you have a plan.

I tell you what, make a step by step list of what you would do for the day.

Take that plan by heart. Take action before jumping to the next.

It doesn't matter if your doing it slow. Take your time implementing every step.

In that way you wouldn't be astray in the IM jungle.

Most important of all, have fun doing it!
