Anyone (non-US) have experience getting a merchant account?!

Hi!

Would love some feedback from those with experience with this.

My online business has recently experienced huge growth and I would like to move from using PayPal to a dedicated merchant account. I feel this is the next logical step for smoother transaction flow as well as for using the 'magical' 1-click upsell scripts available to increase my conversions further.

My websites use aMember to handle memberships and product delivery so the logical partner to me seems to be 1shoppingcart with a merchant account.

Now here is my dilemma...

As I am located in Australia - I need some advice regarding getting a merchant account - anyone know of a Authorize.net reseller that has a reasonable fee table for non-US customers???

Any comments/feedback/advice from anyone with experience with this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!!

Authorize.net is only for US based businesses.
Check out the eWAY - eCommerce Payment Gateway Accepting Online Credit Card Payments gateway which will work with 1SC and Amember

Hi - did you go ahead with eway - I am looking at exactly the same scenario - eway with 1SC! Your experience and advice would be more than welcomed.
    Thanks

Worldpay is nice. Sitepoint(I think they're Australian) uses them.

My business is based in Thailand and I've used WorldPay for 5-6 years now and found them very reliable. Depending upon your transaction volume, you can usually negotiate a good rate with them and as you grow and revenue increases, they are open to further reductions in the commission rate. The only beef I have with them is that they keep my money for 4 weeks to conver themselves in case of chargebacks. I've got used to it now so I'm not that bothered but if you need the cash flow or have a sudden increase in sales, then it can be annoying that your money is sitting there and you don't get it for 4 weeks.

    Hope this helps.
