If you had to build a list of 10,000 subscribers in 30 days, how would you do it?

The quickest methods to build lists are "Paid" ones. You can use PPC or buy Solo Ads or any other paid method.

If you want them free, than it will take time. But you can try offering a good product for free at forums.

There are few best ways to get 10,000 subscribers in a month. If you have a small list of atleast 500 subscribers than do adswap whole month this will easily generate few thousands of subscribers. If you don't have list than start from Solo ads to create your first list of subscribers and then go ahead for adswap.

Let's say you purchased 4-5 solo ads and generated 500 subscribers in 2-3 days.
Now adswap with peoples who have list size similar to you that is 500 subscribers. (Let's say you did it for 4-5 days and generated few hundred subscribers and now you have around 1000 subscribers)
Now adswap with peoples who have around 1000 subscribers for few days.
Then as your subscriber count goes high do adswap with the peoples who have subscriber list similar to you. If you are lucky then you will generate your first 10,000 subscribers in first month but if not than also you will have atleast few thousands of subscribers for sure.

And with above method side by side launch a JV Giveaway. Many peoples have generated around 4000-5000 subscribers in one JV Giveaway and few have generated even more than that.

So if you generate 5000-6000 subscribers with adswap which can be done easily.You will easily get your remaining subscribers to complete your list of 10,000 by launching JV Giveaway.

well, . that's true. but 1000 in a month is too much, if you really want to get such, paid one is your only way to go. at least, i think...

PPC or CPL would be the easiest. Free: 1 press release a week, one article per day fully syndicated and converted to pdf for docshare sites. Use Hootsuite to schedule FB and twitter posts, then bookmark everything with onlywire. Use a tell a friend script on the backside to offer upsells for free if they contact others. While this will take about 3-7 days to fully set up, you can reach 10,000. If you have a OTO set up, reinvest everything.

I would use mobile ads to get my 10,000 subscriber since it is cheaper than adwords PPC.

Starting with zero subscribers would be difficult to get a list that large without spending a lot of cash. If you had 500-1000 subcribers to start you could adswap and it might be possible.

the only real way to do it is with a huge paid advertising budget, joint ventures and affiliates.

I'd cut all the pages of the phone book out and put them on a gigantic bulletin board.

I do not know about how many in a month. But for me preferred list building techniques would be forums, article marketing, JV giveaways.

i am not much convinced about doing ad swaps. I think it would overwhelm the subscribers, it would be bothering them with sales pitches.

Adswaps, Soloads and JV's will get you those 10,000 subs in the quickest time possible!

I will recommend you 2 wsos both are good enough to teach YOU to build your list much faster than any other method.

I'd like to say adswap, solo ads etc but I've never actually done that yet.

I agree with other warriors adswaps. Check out the JV section there are lots of people doing it there.

Build a product easilly worth $97 or more sell it for $47 (make sure the sales letter converts) and give 100% commissions to affiliates You'd have JV offers falling out of your ears

Adswaps, Tweetswaps, Lots of money spent on PPC and lots of article marketing.

To build a list that large from scratch in that short amount of time you are going to need to use paid advertising. SEO won't work fast enough to get you that kind of traffic to build a list that large in only 30 days.

This is what i've learned from my experience. Maybe there is something I don't know.

First of all these subscribers have got to be targeted. Secondly - even if they joined your list because you gave them something for free - they must be able to be converted into buyers. Having said that there are some excellent ideas here.

"Targeted"... then an adswap and joint venture will massively dilute the list. Additionally adswap subscriber lists are serial garbage, tapped out subscribers who can't find the "unsubscribe" button.

If I had to.... I would set-up a comprehensive campaign that included craigslist ads (free and paid - using the sandwich method), mobile optimized squeeze pages that only have a single field (admob), Youtube PPC, and twithawk.... I would hire someone at odesk to operate the campaign, post the ads, etc. There is a method that I use to capture people's data when they visit your WOLP and then message a friend about it, but that's pretty advanced stuff. Focus on the basics.

A good rule of thumb is that you should be able to generate 1 lead per dollar you spend or you are wasting your money. Always bolster paid campaigns with free ones such as a combination paid/free campaign on craigslist.

And get creative.... there's always a way... always.
