No, it's not an affiliate link.

Cheers.

It's just an image but in my opinion he has kind of ruined it with his background image. It looks very busy and very messy - my eyes don't know where to look.

      Hi TimothyW,

A simple Google search produces this, which more than adequately answers the question.

      Cost = 20 seconds+initiative

Hi Ex -- is that 20 seconds + initiative (google) any better or worse than the 20-seconds plus initiative it took me to post the Q on this forum?

I guess you have your viewpoint + I have mine. Thanks for sharing.

      It's clearly better. Here's why -

Initiative is one of the most important qualities required by entrepreneurs.

Initiative is arguably the single most important quality that allows rat-racers to move out of the race and into independent business.

Any skill is likely to be improved by practise.

Any skill is (arguably) diminished by not practising it regularly and by instead training oneself in an opposing, negative habit.

If you come here and start a thread asking a question that has an obvious answer (see the previous replies) -

It's just a matter of having a clever background image on the channel page.
...and it gets answered, then there is no discussion. The answer is given to you on a plate and no skills are practised or honed.

Which is the better reply? The one that hands you the obvious answer on a plate, or the one which you didn't like, that slaps you around the head a little and reminds you that one of the most valuable skills that you can develop is initiative?

Who is trying to help you more? Who offers more value?

All that you are currently practising (and demonstrating) is how to come here and be spoon-fed and the least amount of beneficial knowledge possible is gained by those who view the thread.

I would suggest that this adequately explains the answer to this -

is that 20 seconds + initiative (google) any better or worse than the 20-seconds plus initiative it took me to post the Q on this forum?

It looks good. He made his youtube page looked like a sales page which is very nicely done.

I think its just a jpeg file uploaded as his background image. I tried to click the triangle button button but it doesn't have a link attached to it.

he is a warrior here on the form. His name is Chris Webb and I just send a private message to head on over here.

I'm sure he'll be able to show you exactly how he goes about creating cool YouTube stuff.

If you haven't check out the videos on its channel. They look incredible!

He shows exactly how it goes about marketing on YouTube in a step-by-step fashion, with video. That's the way I love to learn stuff anyway.

    Hope this helps.

    Ex --

When it comes to IMing info + questions, WF *IS* my "google!"
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Also, there are ways to give an answer, without needing to add a philosophical questioning of the motivation/integrity of the questioner. I guess whenever I need input from the initiative police, I always know where to go.

    Cheers.

This is in no way directed towards your. I'm just providing an alternative to meet with both sides...

It would be perfectly fine to do both, within the first 10 replies to this message we have already had some discussion about the design of it and even how conversions would take place.

While the OP should have used Google to find his answer, he still could have shared it with us so we can still enjoy the work as well as discuss how it converts, whether it is "messy and screaming" and so forth.

That's just my two cents, take it or leave it.

It's a background image. In Firefox you can right click on the image and select 'View Background Image'. This will show you the jpg. He's put the 'Save for Later' and 'Click Here' bits in just the right spot.

It may look a little messy, but I'm wondering if the calls to action are getting good results.

It definitely looks better with my browser set to widescreen. In my usual widow size, most of the stuff gets cut off on the sides... I think the best part of the page is the 'Save for Later' and 'Click Here...

I'd also like to know if it has helped any.

As I got several monitors, this probably works best on a big screen. The screen I am on know doesn't let me see the whole image, I have zoom to out! Don't find it that stunning, but it is a nice try nonetheless.

I still don't understand about this.

The person who jazzed up their YT page (let's call him Joe).

I visit YT + See Joe's YT page. How do I see the souped up image (overlay)? Joe has no control over YT, and he has no control over my computer. So, how is my computer displaying what Joe wants me to see when I visit his page on YT?

How + where did Joe "install" the added image?
