Blog - Separate domain or sub-directory?

G'day All ,

I have a site in a popular niche - it is indexed and has been online for 3 years. I am making the majority of my income from Adsense from this particular site. It was created using XSite Pro.

I now want to establish a blog and would appreciate any advice or experience members may have had regarding which is the best way to go - put the blog on a separate domain with separate hosting and IP or put it in a sub-directory of the established site ie mydomain.com/blog. I would create a Wordpress blog as I have some experience with WP having used it to establish independent sites in other unrelated niches.

Any comments or advice would be most appreciated.

    I would put it on the same domain. That way everytime you add more content and pages your website gets more pages and content as well.

    Plus there is just so much you can do with a blog. Definitely put in on the same domain in subfolders.
